Carbon Fiber?

I've been thinking about eventually putting carbon fiber parts(right now I've only thought about putting it on the brake pads) on my Mustang. Any suggestions, pictures if you have them.

We have carried a carbon fiber theme on this SGM '13. This list is parts that are on the car, or in the garage right now waiting to be put on that car. Most everything is made by TruCarbon, a few parts are Seibon carbon fiber:
Currently on: JLT CAI, GT500 Rear wing w/gurney flap, Front valance, mirrors, hood exhausts, Quarter window louvers & steering wheel inserts.

These parts are in my garage waiting to be put on: radiator cover, fuse box cover, coolant cover, battery cover, master cylinder cover, door window covers & GT500 rear diffuser (quad tip)
I also covered the CAI heat shield with 3d carbon fiber, the Boss Strut brace and the 5.0 emblems and the VC breathers are hydro dipped carbon fiber.

I think the carbon fiber looks awesome if you get quality stuff. TruCarbon has some awesome parts. Many pics in my profile showing various carbon fiber.

The problem with the trucarbon carbon fiber is it doesnt last long unless you keep it out of the sun and elements. My trucarbon hood vents started turning a chalky color because the clear was separating from the carbon fiber. They offered to warranty them, but I sold the car shortly after with them on it. I had the vents on for abiut 4 months.

However, I never had issues with my cf decklid panel.

All of this carbon fiber has weathered well. It is in the sun ALL of the time too.

Yeah I think it depends on how smooth the piece is. The hoid vents had alot of curves ect... either way though, trucarbon will tell you the average life span of unpainted carbon fiber is 3-5 years. I might do more cf, but small things like gurney flap, gt500 hood vent and maybe splitter.

Right now, the only CF I will probably get is the interior kit from AM, $135, since I may trade in my 2013 GT Premium to get a 2015 GT Premium, if I like it when it debuts.

We bought that kit and it is a nice kit. We didnt install the steering wheel stick ons because they didnt look good on the steering wheel, however, the steering wheel inserts from TruCarbon are AWESOME.
