Go have it looked at. A lot of people are saying that white smoke while accelerating could be coolant getting into the cylinder. This could be from a bad head or intake gasket. It could even be worse, but a bad gasket could cause this.

I read that white smoke when you start the car is just normally condensation in the pipes, but if you have white smoke after the car is hot you have a potential issue.

Good luck.

Don't take what I read/wrote as gospel, but it is something to take a look at.

What have you done to the car as far as mods?

Cat deletes, xpipe, pypes super system, dyno tune, intake, 3.73 gear, and then some suspension work

Check your plugs to see if you're burning coolant.

Some things that people have said to look for are:

1. Check your coolant level and make note of it. After awhile check it again and see if it has gone down.
2. Check your oil dipstick to see if you have any coolant in the oil.

Again this may not be the issue, but it is something to keep an eye on.

Well I have been going back and fourth about trading for a truck in the first place but couldn't find the deal I really liked but if there is a potential problem then I think I am going to put cats on find the best deal and trade.

Well ford agrees that it's probably a head gasket problem sense my coolent level is below where it should be. I'm going to be trading for a touring Mazda 6 with tech package saturday, not exactly what I wanted but it's cheap for how much car you get and gets great gas mileage but more importantly my girlfriend of 8 years "thinks it's a good decision for our future." It's been fun and I'll stick around sense I still have my 2000 gt. Thanks for helping me out over my time time here

This is sad, a man losing his stang over a possible head gasket issue. There has to be someone on here local to you that would be willing to help you with repairs for beer and steak.

I thought about repairing it but it just seems like to much hassle. I've ran into problem after problem from this car and honestly I'm tired of it, ready for something reliable. First was a problem with sync not 300 miles into owning it then problem with my transmission grinding then seat controls went out then passenger speaker busted and on and on so I'm done with ford for the foreseeable future unless it's an older one.

I have a hard time believe that the head gasket is shot. Not trying to discredit your girl, but how much white smoke is a lot? When you say your coolant is below normal, what does that mean? Are you trying to say the overflow tank is low, or is the radiator itself low? Is it running rough, hot, or smelling of coolant? Is it leaving spots where it's parked? There's a lot of questions here that are unanswered. Personally, I think there's not a dam thing wrong with your car. I think the dealership eyes lit up with $$$$ signs the moment you asked them what could be wrong and told them you have a tune. A dealership cannot flat out dent warranty work based upon info you gave them, have they even looked at it? They can only deny the warranty claim if they can legitimately prove the modification ABC contributed in the failure of OEM warrantied part XYZ. What you need is a second opinion and patience, take a deep breath and don't make a decision you may regret, good luck!

It's enough white smoke that if I can clearly see the white cloud after I shift under hard acceleration, the car has always left spots when sitting especially for over a few days just have never thought anything of it, when driving there is a smell that I would relate to a clutch being burnt when I'm just sitting still, my coolent level is below where the factory fill line is and has black **** floating in it. I appreciate it but this car ruined on future mustangs and on this one and I'm really just ready to get out of it and save for a c5 Z06
