Lol..I've felt the ESC kick in a couple of time, and the only thing you feel is a sudden cut of power. Very little though, like a delay reaction in the gas peddle. But it's like an abs system, it happens so fast you barely notice it.

Well I hope not.. a couple of times when I'm being dumb and I smash it in 2nd the brakes apply for me, even in a straight line and then my friends say I suck at shifting and I'm like "No, the TC just stopped me from flipping!" But the last couple of times I've peeled out during 1st and 2nd brakes were not applied by the ESC like I thought it was

I don't know but I haven't really felt such a noticeable braking in the car. I've felt reduction in power or delay but not braking.

Btw great thread cause I really didn't know about the sports mode. I switch it on today on the way home from work but didn't do anything crazy cause the road was wet.

I've used the traction off like 3 or 4 times that i remember. I've launched between 2-3k RPMs and the back tires spin practically all through 1st gear.

Now when I've tried the same thing with the traction on it delays on the launch and it spins toward the end of 1st gear.

I need to try that sports mode, but in a safe off road place..lol

Yep, with over a million Mustangs out there, and roughly 10% of the population being idiots, that's over 100,000 idiots driving Mustangs. I guess TC is a good thing.

Meh, electric grannies are for people who can't drive. I had it turned off permanantly in my cobra several years ago and have never had the car get remotely out of control except when pushing it at sanctioned events. Learn not to smash the loud pedal...

Mustangz: Is the sport mode shown in the manual? Also I really like what u did to ur car--it look's great! Mine is also a 2011 GT/CS convert AT premium red candy metallic but my hood scoop dosent look anything as nice as yours. Did it come that way or did u modify it?

I think you meant someone else... I don't have a hood scoop. The sport mode probably is in the manual, but I don't have one, the dealer kept it

If you don't have steering control, how does it know where you "intends" to go?

I'm reading that as sarcasm, correct? I just looked up esc in a google search and copied and pasted the info to try and help the kid out with his question. If you have a better explanation by all means share it.
