Redline

11 Gt auto....bama race tune. Driving on the highway last night at cruising speed and I floored it (unnecessarily) to pass someone, and when I hit the redline my gauges turned really bright. Because of the tune( I think) the rpm seemed to go I little higher than normal, perhaps 7500rpm. I've never seen the gauges get bright like that, nor could I duplicate it again. Is this a built in warning system, and has anyone else come across this?

LIAR, LIAR, Right Foot on Fire! 7500 rpm to pass someone? How fast were they driving, 130 mph?

OP,

Depending on your setup, the redline on your Mustang should be around 7,300rpm. Which is a bit higher than stock, as you mentioned. You're actually able to set the redline gauge glow to whichever RPM you choose. It can be adjusted using the settings/buttons on the dash.

If you're having trouble with this, feel free to contact a Bama Tuning Specialist at number in my signature. They'll be able to walk you through the process over the phone!

Shane
