5.0 owners just think the are superior when in reality they are in the middle of the bunch if I really wanted a drag car I would swap my motor for a 5.8 L race engine not a punny 5.0 that being said the 5.0 is a good motor so is the 4.6 2 to 4v
both can produce a lot of power depending on how much money one would like to spend.

I'm quite happy with 500RWHP for a daily driver with my BLOWN 4.6 3 V
Forged I could get much more with higher boost but I don't drag race so
I think 600 or so hp at the crank is plenty for a daily driver.

In the end these Ford engines are all good and there is no need to cut down
what is under your hood or be rude as some posters here have been because
they think the 5.0 is the KING of engines IT IS NOT SORRY . It's in the middle of the pack like I said. The KING IS the 5.8 RACE ENGINE. Remember that.

You're an idiot we do not think the king of racing engines is the 5.0!!! The king is the 7000hp Top fuel!!! We just know the 5.0 it is better than the 4.6.

Truth hurts you know the 5.0 is better than the 4.6 stock and mod for mod. So what do you do you bring a race ready 5.8. Everyone of us 5.0 guys will agree the 5.8 is a much better motor than the 5.0 but you're to stupid and proud to admit the 4.6 is below the 5.0!

MMR thinks the 5.0 is better than the 5.4. They took a wrecked GT500 with a 5.4 in it. Built the motor and were not happy with the power so they got a 5.0 built it up sleeved it and 2000hp later they are running sub 8 second quarters yeah they are running in the 7's with a built TT 40psi 5.0L

Ha Ha Ha... True so true. 3.7 guys only need to add 4:10 gears and they are running right with a 4.6... 4.6 guys need full bolt on to think about getting close to a 5.0 and they still fall short.

Unlike someone on here this will be my last post in this thread. I'm done arguing. Complete and total waste if time. Just like racing a 4.6L.

Why is this even an argument? This was supposed to be about a supercharger and it was posted in the section for 5.0s, why are 4.6 motors even being mentioned at all?

Grow up people, seriously. If you wonder why the mods always get pissed off and move everything around this is one of the reasons.

Sorry YOU ARE THE IDIOT if I wanted a better motor I would skip the 5.0 completely it is mediocre at best and get the BEST 5.8 and I'm not talking TOP FUEL a 5.8 can be purchased and will fit into the S197 platform obviously the Shelby gt 500 has one , I think what is happening is you guys are jealous of the 5.8 as I am that motor is AWESOME and you are making it sound like the 5.0 is the best motor ever made by FORD sorry it is NOT.

With that being said I like my 4.6 just fine and like I said it makes more than enough power for me with my SUPERCHARGER running around 8 to 12 psi
, and I'm sure there are lots of other guys on this web site who own a 4.6 3V who agree with me that the 4.6 is a good motor not great but neither is the 5.0 .
A BLOWN 4.6 makes tons of power more than enough.

Stock for stock a coyote engine dominates a 4.6 2v or 4v. That being said the 4v Mach1s made around 300-310rwhp and that's versus the 380+rwhp a coyote makes. Does that make the mach1 a failure at power output? Of course not. It just means the coyote does it differently and is from a different generation. But a 4v termi engine can hold up to almost the same power output and abuse as a coyote and do it cheaper. In a few years when the aftermarket scene catches up with coyote engines they too will be cheap to mod for big power and then we can revisit this thread and say coyotes are better all around. But for now it's just run whatever you have and be happy you have a great engine because ford did a pretty good job with each new engine variant.

Long story short the coyote is a better power platform than stock NA 2v/4v 4.6s. And I own and love my 2v 4.6. But I'm just saying what's true.

Sorry for airing my arrogant and "stupid" 4.6ltr thoughts. But figured it should be said so people can stop acting ridiculous. This forum has become a mockery.
Here's my expert opinion, since we ARE all experts here: your second paragraph probably should have been in the beginning. Then, in the instance the reader only wanted to read a condensed version of your babbling response, they could stop after absorbing the "long story short".

Aaaaaaand you're welcome...

If we're gonna keep kicking a dead horse, you can run the 9s with a 351 all motor.

I does believe alot of Mustang owners love to argue.

"My rod is longer than yours!"
"My piston is bigger than yours!"
"My nutsack (errr engine block) is made of indestructible adamantium"
"I jizz out 4.6/5.0/5.4/5.8 cubic inches which is more than your 3.7 but if I the 3.7 use the engine enlarging pump I can increase my metric volume and blow you away."

It's more entertaining than Breaking Bad. Popcorn time.

I'm not into the 4.6 vs 5.0 vs 5.8 argument. I'm here to learn. Anyways, Do people buy GT-500s and remove the supercharger to put a different one on? Or do they keep the one they have and just build the motor up to make more Hp?

Thought some of these users couldn't get any more ridiculous. Truthfully a lot of you guys are the reason most people who actually know about these cars have already left to other forums.

This whole 4.6 vs 5.0 debate is like seeing which tastes better, a Pig or a Deer. They're two different animals. Just Shut up and eat them. You're all showing how idiotic you are, and bringing this forum down. I come here for the info. Not for the pissing contests. Grow up fellas.

Rant over. Hopefully this thread is closed soon.

Why would you come to a mustang forum and complain that people are discussing mustangs?

because this isn't discussing. It's arguing. And a very childish argument at that. And truthfully, i see nothing productive here, and yet another thread that has gone waaaaay off topic. That'd be why.

Well, it's fine. Like i said, this thread is literally the posterchild of what the forum has become. With all the childish name calling, and bickering. If that's what y'all think is quality information, more power to ya. I'm out.
