um, well i dont think i would go that far..... the 2015 honda fit is reported to get 36mpg combined but be a 2cyl car with 87 hp. ive seen acouple GEOs from the 80's

its a huge sacrifice honestly. now did you know chicago also charges 8% tax on your monthly payment if you lease a car?

Lol I go to school here and I still live at home and don't pay for groceries. So I can pay .30 for gas more than you if I don't pay rent or any of that stuff. (Also it's 93 octane)
my insurance is ridiculously high too. The only thing that saves me is that my car is paid off.

Can't even imagine that. That is ridiculously low IMO. So much so I would feel guilty and most definitely not shifting at anything under 3.5k

Yeah it's near the lowest in the country. They hiked it up 30 cents in the last 4 days or so. Trust me I make her sing....she's gotta good voice haha and she still gets about 21 mpg per tank cause I have a 30 mile commute to work that's 95% highway

v6? probably a new car? maybe you have a newer car? maybe less mods that damage fuel effeciency or maybe more mods that help it? we are comparing very different cars on some degree i must admit. its not expected a 2013 v6 stock with 93 octane get the same as a 5 year old v8 with many gas sipping mods and 87 octane etc.

although i just realized i was in the wrong section, i have a 98.
disregard my numbers, i didnt see that when i was on my phone.

That's actually a cocktail of truth and bull****, cams, fat rims/tires, a high stall in an auto, and steeper gears improve performance at the cost if mileage but there's also things like turbo, exhaust intake tune, weight reduction, aerodynamics (spoiler or chin spoiler [real ones]) will improve mileage.

About 200 miles to the tank, if I'm lucky. I have a lead foot.

if you have a tune on the ECM it should stay there when you rest it.

Just bought mine, I've got 400 miles on my 2014 GT. I drove from Atlanta to Chattanooga @80MPH and got 22.1 MPG. Its a pretty flat drive. I have the track pack with the 3.73, how much does that effect MPG?

17 mpg combined with my stock 5.0 and 6 speed. I only run 93 octane. I do about 75% city driving. If I did more highway driving I have no doubt I could easily get 20 mpg combined. These 5.0s aren't bad on gas for their power, but I wasn't particularly hung up on gas mileage when I bought the car.

2900 miles on the clock... 13.8 city/local, so far on 93 octane. Highway driving is rare these days, with the exception of my weekly WOT rips between interstate ramps.

As the old saying goes... "You gotta pay to play!" I didn't buy a 5.0 for mileage, although it gets much better than my 2011 Ranger (4x4 V-6) did. I bought it for POWER and the ability to break traction anytime I choose. I'll never outgrow that need.
