Quick question?

After how many miles should I take in my car for scheduled maintenance? I have 3,100 miles since I bought it in late august.

I don't have my owners manual, so I can't look it up in there.

http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo.../14musom1e.pdf When your oil life monitor says change your oil. Depending in how you drive 7500-10000 is normal conditions

IMO if you romp on it and drive it hard a few times a week I would not go past 5000 miles.

I did my first oil change at 3800 miles. I told the service rep i wanted to get the break in oil out of it and he told me that they do not use that anymore.

Now I do know know, if he knew what he was talking about but from the racing arena we use non synthetic oil to seat the rings before we go to syn oil.

In general you cannot hurt anything by changing oil early or often, except your wallet.

I'll probably do it every 5-7K miles.

I'll continue to service mine every 3k or so. History has shown that my annual miles driven is between 3k-4k.

I've been wandering. I don't drive that often (I've owned my 11 GT for over a year and only put 5k miles on her) would you guys still say I'm good?

At a minimum once a year. I change oil and spark plugs every spring in my cobra.

You can follow the computer and not have issues ... regardless of the break in oil comment, I have changed my oil in a new car at 1k miles every time. No issues yet, clear out any metal shavings etc from the first real stress on a new motor
