I have a 2014 base GT with the automatic and I get between 22-23 mpg on my 60 mile round trip drive to work and back. I didn't even consider the V6 because if I'm buying a performance car, it is going to have a V8 in it. I'm willing to pay the extra money for it but I understand some people are not as fortunate

I traded in a 2004 Monte Carlo SS Dale Jr. edition with the Supercharged 3800 V6. While it had decent power, it didn't have the V8 sound, even with a Borla Cat-back and it only got 24mpg on the same drive. While I really liked the car, it doesn't compare to this Mustang GT. Way more fun to drive and I love how it sounds with the Roush AB I installed.

Only you can decide which version is right for you and what you can comfortably afford. Good luck on your decision.
