Mods 2014

Trying to figure out if I should get a CAI with a throttle body (85) or save my money for a vortech supercharger.
Any advise would be appreciated...

John

CAI+ throttle body+tune=maybe 400-415rwhp.
Vortech=550+rwhp to 1000+ maybe?

Is this a real question?

It most definitely is...new to the mustang world and curious to know if it's worth spending the money on a vortech.

Boost is much more worth it than bolt ons. More for your money power wise.

Noooooo CAI + Tune = about 385-390whp + catback = 395whp or so at about 90degree ambient.

+TB = better throttle response and maybe 2-3whp.

But other than that you are absolutely right. Except CAI+tune = about $650 where vortech+install = +\-$7500. So... Definitely on par on a dollars per HP basis.

So either if fine. Except if u will eventually get a SC or TC then forget the CAI cuz it prob won't work and forget the tune cuz u want a custom tune.

Fock... 10 beers ATM. Not sure if I make sense. ****. Focking thanksgiving festivities.

Or a 150 shot of nitrous with all the supporting mods of the supercharger and you will have 550+rwhp for $3000 less.

If it's gonna be a while before to add a hairdryer, get the cai and tune. Yes, the cai may not work with the blower (depending on setup), but u can always use the tuner...load custom dyno tunes onto it etc...
Congrats on ur Stang btw, and welcome.

Thanks for the idea, your right...it was probably going to take me over a year to get an airtech super charger. I can sell the CAI afterwards.
