2013 GT to BOSS?

Hi all,

Anyone know of a site that lists the differences? I'm more curious than anything, and thought I'd cure some boredom by listing aftermarket upgrades required to turn a 2013 mustang gt into virtually the same car as a 2013 boss 302.

I know the basics and can get most or all of the specs for comparison purposes from the net, but thought I'd ask here in case someone has posted something somewhere online.

Thanks!

There are a TON of differences. But quickly to name a few- interior is different, and littered with boss logos, suspension is much better on the boss, many different appearance features like graphics, grille, etc. But the absolute BIGGEST difference which would be very expensive to match with a GT would be the motor. Not only does the boss obviously have the 302 intake manifold, but the boss motor is forged.

^ this plus different heads, cams, valve train, the list goes on and on.

As far as suspension goes you can build your car with aftermarket stuff and have it handle as well If not better than a boss pretty easily.

What's cool is, all you need is one Boss part and a tuner to make more hp than a Boss, heh.

With the GT block you can get up to 600whp safely. With the boss block you can go higher, maybe 700 whp

He never said that
He said it was a weaker forging.
People boost tier stock GTs all the time without forging the bottom end.

Do people boost stock GTs? Haha :p
There's room for upgrade, but it's safer to boost he boss than a GT

I was under the impression the gt has powder forged rods and cast pistons. And the boss is forged. Where can I find the info at.

Many parts are magical here; they all seem to make perfect round numbers, like 600, 700, etc. Not 688.3.....

There are ways to go beyond the Boss performance and not have a faux Boss. A mild blower setup will get the power, and a good handling setup will do the rest.

Yeah except you lose power except once you spin the motor way up there and you can't safely and consistently get the power you want because the boss intake is designed for rpm levels greater than that of the GT valvetrain. So yeah you could do one dyno pull to 7500 rpm but you wouldn't wana do that often on the street to get your power
