Best sounding exhaust setup w/offroadx

What is the best sounding exhaust setup with an off road x?

EXCLUDING GT500's since that's my current setup. They sound great but wanted to know if there were any alternatives.

Too subjective, what sounds good to someone else might not work for you.

Bor, bor bor bor, bor bor bor bor la la la la, la la laaa!

To anyone who is saying "Omg wtf," I said Borla in a Christmas jingle-type variant.

Seriously though, look up Borla exhaust. I recommend this because Borla and the GT500 are usually the most head-to-head compared exhausts on the market right now.

Here is what Magnaflow Competition mufflers sound like with them
Raspy with a little drone.

Magnaflow Competition Mufflers with Lethal Off Road X Pipe - YouTube

The GT500 Quad Tips are awesome sounding with an ORX Pipe. If you go 3"all the way back, it deepens the sound significantly with zero drone.

I Love my GT500s with my Stainless Works Long Tubes, ORX, and resonator delete. I'll be changing to the Quad tip '13 GT500s soon, mostly for looks but I've heard the difference in sound and it's amazing.

Stainless works and bassani catback is amazing. Kooks is good, I just don't care for the sound.

I recently did this swap, from 2012 to 2013 GT500 mufflers. The 2013's are a little more quiet, and not quite as deep...still sound great. Swapping out my over axle pipes from oem to Borlas made it just right with my ARH headers & catted x-pipe...a little loud when I get on it near a cop, but tame enough to drive normally around them...and they are very strict here!

I just went through that setup. Do it if you want to sound like John Force everywhere you go.

Leave the cats in and keep your Roush mufflers or do like everyone else and go with GT500 mufflers. For now I put my stock mufflers in (running cat deletes) and to be honest it sounds great, and is still loud at WOT. Been waiting to find a used set of GT500 mufflers but no dice for over a month. I'll probably order some up here pretty quick, THEN some will pop up on CL..

Well my Roush catback exhaust has no muffler. It's straight pipe from the cats back. I also have a 10GT which I know sounds diffrent than the 5.0s. I just want to make it louder but little drone if anything. I'm not sure what set up to do

Yeah and I found out that the Roush mufflers look like mufflers but don't do any muffling.

So your saying I have mufflers even though it's straight pipe? All I know it has resonators and was thinking of replacing those with pipe. What do u think?

Nope you probably don't have anything there just like you said. Resonators muffle a bit too. If you still have them in the car leave them there and try it out first before removing them. Maybe it will work for you.

The off road x-pipe and roush AXLE backs is insanely loud. But while cruising they are pretty tame. Still zero drone going down the freeway, but you can def hear them. Anything over 1/4 throttle and 2000rpm will wake the dead.

I just installed some 2014 GT500 mufflers over the weekend and it sounds amazing. I also have the 2014 GT500 over axle pipes but couldn't get them in by using Jack stands in the garage. Need a lift. I plan to buy and x pipe and have both installed soon. I love this setup and it looks sick!!

Btw the guy who sold me the system is selling his magnaflow catback with quad tip mufflers for around $600-700. He is in south Florida. It's currently on his 2014 GT500.
