No budget taxi interior for me...I could afford to buy a loaded car, so I did. Haven't regretted it. I maxed out the performance options available in 2012 cars so, MT, 3.73, BBP, HID lighting. Also not regretted that one iota. I checked every other box except glass roof, incl. the special Candy Red paint. No regrets there either.

Tiny adjustments like a shifter bracket and a Roush rubber non-adjustable upper, GT500s and Brembo 5.0 55D rear springs have made the car look and feel perfect for a DD. Not obnoxious at all but, improved driving experience for very little outlay.

We bought a Red Candy 13 GT Premium with nearly everything, except for MT, brembo's, and glass roof.

Has the Roush upper helped with the wheel hop ??

But I agree... The current gen autos are better than any previous Ford auto. AOD and AODE were probably Ford's worst auto transmissions.

Fastest runs are all with autos. Records are with autos. There is no arguing that. No matter how good you are with your little stick.

No matter what how you buy/order your Mustang, it will always be better than a Camaro.

I bought a base model 2014 GT with an auto. I didn't want leather or most of the electronic stuff. I got the auto because of a bad left knee that can't stand a lot of clutch action. I would have liked the track package or brembo but they only come with the manual tranny so those were out.

This car is not a daily driver so I didn't need all of the creature comforts and I wanted to keep the electronic stuff to a minimum to hopefully cut down on issues later on. Plus the cheaper price didn't hurt either.

Enjoy whatever you get.

Brembo pack can be had with auto, since 13.

Roush upper is a good wheelhop cure with no downsides.
