Dynoing automatics

4th gear - manual- is the gear for 1 to 1 true rwhp measurement ? The local dyno shop only dynos automatics in 3rd gear.
My A6 dyno'd 550rwhp and 481 TQ in 3rd gear; what is my actual rwhp?

You have the same HP in 1st as you do in 4th/5th. Most dynos like to do pulls in a gear that is 1:1 (4th in most manuals, not sure on autos) This makes it easier to calculate torque.

I'm only guessing that most manuals are 1:1 in 4th. I DO know the T-45 in my stang is 1:1 in 4th.
