GT500 Strut Mount and Stock Struts, Can't Find Definite Answer

I tried to search this and got different answers. Curious what the facts are.

I have seen the GT500 strut mount advertised to fit stock struts on all 05-14 GT/V6
I have seen that is doesn't fit anything except aftermarket and GT500 struts
I have seen that it does not fit eibach struts, and elsewhere saying yes.

So what stock struts will it fit, and what aftermarket struts will it not fit?

I can confirm they work with 05-10 Konis. Is this for the 95 in your signature?

Not for me, I get asked it a lot though.

Konis, Ok, do all Koni models fit? STR-T, sport adjustable?

+1 Only 05-10 struts will work. Eibach struts won't work because there for 11-14s

You can get 05-10 Eibach's. As long at they are 05-10, they will work with the GT500 mounts.

Absolutely. That's what I have. They are affordable and do well at the strip. If you have a manual you could run the Viking double adjustable rear shocks as another option.

I like that they're adjustable & affordable! I'm still debating on going with coilovers or shocks/sprigs but if I go with sprigs I'm really gonna consider these!

I second what grabber blue said. I ordered strange struts and Viking double adjustable rears on a resounding recommendation from Kelly over at BMR. Not to mention a whole slough of BMR gear to go with it

I appreciate the answers. As for the GT500 strut mount, how well does it benefit suspension? Anyone compete with it, or compare it vs. stock when it comes to lap times or slalom? I've googled and haven't found much so people's personal experiences are awesome input.

Also, if one was on a budget, couldn't afford a complete handling package, what would be the best bang for the buck suspension mods, I was thinking a Lowering spring kit with caster cambers would be cheaper and get great results?

GT500 mounts are significantly stronger than the stock strut mounts and are around $100. They have no bearing on lap times or a slalom.

So its pretty much a "gotta have just to have" type mod lol?

If u gonna get CC plates there's no need for gt500 mounts. IMO bare minimum I would do is springs,shocks/struts,gt500 mounts, camber bolts,PH bar! & then soon after I would do adjustable upper control arm, lower control arm w/ relo brackets to correct geometry.
What kind of budget are u looking at?

They'll fit 05-09 OEM struts just fine. They will not fit 10+ struts however, 05-09 struts with 05-09 specific CC plates or GT500 mounts will fit 11+. Has nothing to do with the dampening or performance, only change is the fitment of the top mount on the Strut piston.
