lowering springs

Has anyone run into issues with the lowering springs scraping speed bumps? I had a 2010 vert that was lowered when I bought it... I can't remember how much it was lowered however I do remember always scraping the bottom of the car going over speed bumps. I'm getting that itch to want to lower my 5.0 but remembering my issues in the past.

I'm lowered 1.5" all around and have only scraped once.. And it wasn't really a speed bump.. The biggest problem is pulling off of a steep hill such as a driveway onto a flat surface. I live in AR kinda rough roads and lots of hills.. I rarely acrape

Thanks for the info... do you regret them or are you happy with the MOD and recommend them?

I really like the look but don't want to spend most of my time hating them everything i scrape the ground.

Overall I am happy.. I've also got 20s and lighter wheels so I can really feel the hard bumps like potholes and bad road work.. But for me it's worth the trade off for the look and performance.

Im also lowered 1.5" and haven't scraped at all. You actually still have quite a bit of clearance with that kind of drop, providing you dont hit speed bumps at 40mphs, and like mentioned above, are careful when pulling out of driveways etc.

Steeda 1.5/1.75 drop here and never scrape. I cannot, however, use automatic car washes again! The LCA drop brackets hang a bit too low for that.

Ultralites. It measured roughly the advertised 1.25/1.5 immediately after install. Settled to 1.5/1.75 about 500 miles later. The drop brackets sit pretty low though. Mine is a Trac Pac if it matters btw.

Never use auto car washes period! Those things will beat your car's finish to death.

Do u have pics? That's the drop I'm looking for but I didn't know the ultralites settle to that! Hmmm that's interesting! Thanks!

I have the ultralites as well, but dont think i got as much as a 1.75" drop. I did however get the full advertised 1.5".

I mostly agree with u! I use a touch less auto here. Yes, I know it strips wax, but many times I just need to get bugs off and a quick bath.
Well, used to!
