Full Suspension Upgrade/Modification Research

I'm calling on all for opinions please!

2014 5.0 Premium, Sterling Gray
MT/Track Pack/Brembo/3.73
Borla axle backs

For my first mods, I want to go with suspension. I want to get the stance down right. However, I prefer function over form. Meaning I require performance. I would like a balance or easy adjustability for street, strip and road course.

I'm on several groups and forums. I've read some information about springs (strut/shock or coilover), pan hard bar, camber/caster plates, UCA, LCA, relocation brackets, etc...

I'm requesting opinions. I'm torn between Maximum Motorsports "Grip in a Box" complete package vs. piecing together an assortment of different manufacturer parts.

Is this a pipe dream or a possibility??

Please tell me your opinions on any parts or packages with which you have knowledge or experience.

I have no idea but I'm intrigued, could you link the Maximum Motorsports kit?

From a guy who just did full suspension, whether you go with a holistic kit (eibach, FRPP) or pieces/parts, you'll really want to get your wheels under 20 lbs each, or else the firmer suspension and the heavy wheels (e.g. Stock) will yield a 'lead sled' feel.

Wheels will also be on the lineup. I'm thinking TSW.

Been in the middle of the same discussion with myself tonight, I'm going Steeda 2011-14 Mustang Pro-Action & Sport Springs Suspension Package - Made in USA 555-8409 - Free Shipping! , then see what I want to do after that. I don't know if the koni's are better or worse, I know they're popular though.

Will let you know how it goes

I'm getting full BMR suspension put on this AM and the entire following setup was recommended to me by the ford tech at BMR. All listed are BMR products unless noted.

LCA boxed non adjustable
Relo brackets
Adjustable UCA
UCA Mount
Adjustable panhard bar
Lowering springs
Gt500 strut mounts
Viking performance double adjustable shocks
Strange performance single adjustable struts

Meant to add he steered me away from spending money upgrading the sway bars. Said they're pretty substantial stock and unless you going hardcore autox you won't notice the difference.

Thanks for the update. I'll be making calls to several suspension parts providers. I'm sure they're all going to pushe towards their products.

I'm currently running a full Roush kit, struts, springs, and sway bars, with bmr rear LCAs and adjustable panhard bar and I love the setup. It lowers the car about an inch which sounds small but it makes a big difference. The car is stiffer than stock but it is still comfortible as a daily driver. I really do like this set up. I didn't want too much of a drop because I'm in the Chicago area and the roads are horrible and really any lower would be awful.

I replaced my whole suspension but if I had to do it over I would get good coil overs, rims, tires first... Then replace other pieces as needed. Good luck.

Consider getting a prothane lower control arm to finish out your setup. Congrats on your new suspension.
