I have stock tires on my car and hook perfect. I'm thinking I need a new tune.... Any suggestion on a good company that tunes autos??

You shouldn't be hooking on stock tires, that's a problem. You should be able to roast them until you get out of it. VMP, AED, or Lund would be three companies I'd look at. I only have personal experience with VMP and it's a great auto tune. AED has become arguably the most popular out there, especially on the more advanced boards. But he won't tune your car until you data log it for him. He doesn't want to take on someone else problems. There's a good article on Shaun @ AED in the recent MM@FF.

Here's a good example of 10's being possible on a N/A auto car. Notice what gears WBT is using.

Best 12.47 @ 115mph

I'm looking into getting gears but some reviews have me on the fence. I was going to get 3.73s or 4.10s but now idk. Should I just get LTs instead??
That's a pretty good list of mods already! I bet she sounds great with the X-Pipe and SLP axleback.

You can definitely get your Mustang into the 11's pretty easily. I have a full bolt on 2011 GT and it was a breeze to get into the 11's. I went 11.87@119.7 on a 90* day with the DA at 2,300ft. I have Full Exhaust, Boss Mani, Intake, Slicks/Skinnies and a Bama Custom tune! The car definitely had more in her but the stock clutch was starting to slip after only the second time at the track with the car. Now that I've installed a good clutch, I plan to run mid 11's without any issues!

We've tuned more 2011+ Mustangs than anyone else in the world so we definitely have these cars figured out. We have a couple of 2011+ Shop cars that have ran 10's!

When it comes to your car, I agree with what everyone is saying in here. I'd either go with a set of 3.73's/4.10's or a Converter. Any of those mods will definitely help guide you into the 11's. You could even do a Converter and a set of 3.73's if you really wanted to get off the line hard!

Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. I'd be glad to help you out!

I have to echo the converter and tune. I added LTs, catted shorty X and a full cat back with my CAI and tune and all I can say is WOW what a difference.

My installer has a 2014 GT/CS auto....with a CAI, tune and big and littles/slicks....11.16. Granted he had great air, but it doesn't take much to hit 11s with the right mods.

That's impressive. Proof you can go fast with the right parts with the stock 3.15's.

He's an SCT tuner himself.....Mike Rousch. He owns Mid Atlantic Performance in the Richmond, VA area. Great guy, I'd recommend him to anyone for wrenching on their car. He did a tune for me, which he sent me today, so I can't speak to the quality of the tune on my car yet, but he got pretty good results on his car.

Agreed. After driving mine I'm a believer and I turned my 02 into a 12 sec NA daily driver with a 4.30. I still miss that car, but the 2014 is slowly pushing it further out of my mind lol.

Yes. Steeda CAI, stock 3.15s and a 2C with DSS driveshaft, SFI flex plate, because it was already going to be apart, JBA LTs/catted X pipe/cat back and Mikes tune which goes in tonight but I'll need to wait on the test drive as the weather isn't exactly ideal for a drive tonight. Using a Steeda tune the car was out of this world different than stock and it was only shifting at 6500.

A tune from any SCT dealer is the same price usually...$200.00 if you didn't buy your handheld from them. Places like BAMA and Steeda offer tunes for life when you buy a handheld from them. This can be cost effective if you aren't going FI. Some other tuners out there are Jason from AED, Lund which you can buy from several places including direct as well as the already mentioned ones.
