You can buy a tuner from American Muscle which comes with free tunes for life from Bama. Their performance and race tunes have higher RPM shifts, among many other things.

There's people who say it will, and then there's people who say it won't.

From my understanding: If you tune your car, and for example your transmission starts to slip. The Service Tech has to prove that the tune caused your transmission to fail.

Of course there's a lot of misconception about this topic.

All depends on your dealership that is what it boils down to.
Ask yourself this are you willing to pay out of pocket, if something does hapen? If so do it bud. You bought the car to enjoy so enjoy it. Who cares about a waranty anyways.

Rapinator126 is spot on. My dealer says if my mods caused a failure, it's on me, but of course they have to prove it was from my mods first. So I went ahead and got the Steeda tune, still under warranty.

Although I do value my warranty, haha.

One always run the risk of voiding warranty coverage when tuning your car. Its great the dealership has too prove the tune caused the damage however that may not stop a dealership from not honoring the warranty. Then causing you you too take legal action in the courts. Of course legal action can take months even years for the courts too hear cases. In the meantime your ride is busted or you will have too pay upfront too fix your ride and hope you will get remembered later on by the dealership from the law suit.

I was so concerned about my factory warranty I tuned my car around 5,000 miles and now with 34,000 miles it never ran better. If you decide too tune I would highly recommend either Steeda or Bama in the beginning. They both give free lifetime tunes for your one mustang and have exceptional reputations.

Its also my understanding that Steeda does tuning for the Ford Corporation on their specialty vehicles so Steeda has a close working relationship. This would be exceptionally valuable for someone who has worries about warranty claims and Steeda will stand behind their tune. I have never heard of Steeda ever causing damage to a vehicles engine or transmission.

I also run Steeda and Bama tunes and very happy with both. Another awesome tune too look at is MPT which I also have but they are not free tunes for life.

This is exactly why I went from Bama to Steeda.
