Running a bigger shot of nitrous / NITROUS GUYS

I'm running a 100 shot now. But I'm wanting to run a 150 shot. I kNow that Bama will not tune for anything bigger than a 100 shot. So my question is can I use my sct device to correct the timing, spark, fuel. If so what should I put it too. I know it's better to put it on a dyno. But I was just wondering if I could do it myself. Another question I have, is that I'm running a zex wet kit with window switch. People have been telling me that a 100 shot is not a real 100 shot on a wet kit. More like a 75 shot. And for me to just put in 125 jets and run it. Is this true and or safe. Any input???

I've run a two wet nitrous kits in the past and I like where you're going with your idea to put a bigger shot in it. I would be concerned pushing up to 150 shot without getting it dyno tuned for that level. You are right to be concerned about timing correction. You also want to ensure you're tune stays in a safe air/fuel ratio range. Good Luck!

Bumping up to a 150 shot is not something you want to do with just your hand held tuner. It's wise to have the car dyno tuned or at least datalogged and remote tuned to make sure fuel and timing are where they need to be. Also, for a 150shot, you need to change to a non-projected colder plug. I've personally had the best luck with the NGK BR7EF's, when using nitrous.

The shot size is pretty accurate to what they're labeled at. You should be right at 100hp, give or take 5-10hp, with the 100pills. Don't bump up to a larger shot and assume it's less power than advertised. This is only wise if on a dyno, in which you can confirm the power increases.

Hope this info helps you out!

Shane

for plugs NGK 6510's gapped at .032 and get with AED, Lund or BBR for the nitrous tuning

The 150 shot I run on my Z28 actually produces slightly more than 150rwhp.

Also, I wouldn't trust a Zex nitrous kit for anything more than a 100 shot.
