Yea, about 90% of the way up the seats on the right and left side is a little piece of fabric that sticks out or might be tucked into the seat. Pull on it. This is from inside the cabin not the trunk.

Should be same place.. May be tucked in between the seat and the plastic trim

Unfortunately, the 2012 convertible rear seat doesn't go down.

It does. It's always hidden by either the seat belt or has been tucked between the seat and the side wall.
