Billet upper and lower grille for 2013.

I am considering getting the billet upper & lower for my 13 but for the lower portion of the grille I would rather not put on if it only installs over the stock lower grille. Can anyone attest to whether it will install without it or no?

I actually just got the modern billets in the mail today. Haven't gotten a chance to put them on yet, but I can confirm from looking at the installation instructions that the lower does sit on top of the factory honeycomb. I'll upload some before and after pics once I get a chance to toss them on this weekend.

Is there anyway to put the lower on without the honeycomb behind it?
Honestly I think it looks tacky with the honeycomb behind it.
If not I might just do the billet upper w/ the open grille on the lower.

Yeah I was thinking that myself, I may try to do a little fabrication once I get the bumper cover off and can see what I have... I'll let you know how that goes and any pics.

Wheels are the 20" AMR in charcoal.

Honestly I didnt want to at first but it was on the lot during the black friday sale and they didnt have one I liked w/ the recaro seats and I couldnt really pass up the deal. I got it for 30k flat, GT premium no options, stick.
Anyway I have 2 of the 4 wheels im going to put on it. They are the gloss black forgestar f14s, 19x9(f), 19x11(r)

Yeah I had a few options I had to forego when I bought mine (nav package mainly, but I've since installed the Raxiom one) since there wasn't one anywhere in the SE at the time that was exactly what I was looking for. I ended up paying a little less than 32k for the premium GT auto. A good family friend owns a Ford dealership down in FL where I'm from and told me I was getting a tremendous deal. I love the gray with black wheels/accents almost as much as the blue with charcoal. She's going to look sick with those forgestars, you are going to have to upload some pics once you get them on!

Oh I will. I've also got some gloss black 5.0 symbols for it. I want to put the billet upper grille on with those halo fog lights behind it.

Oh nice. I bought some relocation brackets for the fog.lights to go behind the grill and vinyl tint to go all the way around. This is the look I'm going for, hopefully it will turn out as nice as these:

For what it is worth I was feeling the same way about the Billet. I had them in my cart numerous times. In the end I went with the CDC performance grille because I didnt like over installing on either but especially the lower. I also wanted the fog lights gone (not sure why they mess up a GT with those, V6 grille looks better in my opinion).

Couldnt be happier... LOVE the CDC grille on it and was about 20 minutes to install.

Naples,

I agree about the fogs.... I'm hoping I really wont be able to see them when they arent on once I add the tint and put them behind the grill.

IMO the stock fogs are sweet especially if they are HID's (what ever year they started that). I feel like the look with out the stock fogs makes the car look like a V6 but that's just my opinion

I certainly don't hate the stock set up, just looking for something a little different.

I like the look with the fogs. Just not the chrome bowls. And I thing personally that getting the smoked raxiom halos and putting them being the billet grille would look quite sinister.

Actually now that i think about it im probably just going to go with a cdc upper and the roush lower delete and then put the gt/cs fogs in. Get that mean Shelby look.
