2011 Halogen Headlight to 2013 HID conversion...

Didn't plan on doing this upgrade but ended up with a great deal on a set of 2013 HIDs from eBay for $305.00. Just waiting on my conversion harness at this point and I'm all set. I'll update this thread with install pics once I have everything.

One problem I ran into was some genius decided to spay tint on them, which I didn't notice in the eBay pics. A little elbow grease and some PlasticX and I have one looking good as new. Well, except for me breaking one of the bottom tabs while cleaning. Nothing a little epoxy won't fix. I'll take it easy on the other one

I bought the harness from ProjectoRetrofits. The harness enables you to install the complete 2013 factory HID headlight assembles into your car with minimal wiring required for the LED's. You'll also need the 3457 to 7444 harnesses for the indicators. Here's the link to the harnesses, he has some informative videos at the bottom too: Web Store - ProjectoRetrofits

Basically, you just need the complete housings with ballast, bulbs and all from a 2013 HID car. In addition to the conversion harnesses.

Well, finally had a nice day with nothing going on so I was able to install the HIDs. Screwed up a few things but got them sorted with some help from Joe @ Projectoretrofits. The harness is truly plug and play. Only "wiring" I had to do was to connect and route the LED wires to the #39 fuse with an add a fuse. Driving around tonight, what an improvement over the halogens!!!

Looks great man!! The front end really came together. If I didn't already have factory HIDs on my 11, I would definitely be on the lookout for the 13-14s those LEDs are awesome

Yeah, I've been on the lookout for my buddy since I got them. I'll keep you in mind too.

I lucked out, they just had them listed in the auction as "Mustang Headlights"...no mention of HIDs
