I don't doubt it b/c I also haven't heard anything bad about Lund but it's $200 a pop!

Only 50 bucks more than bama and it's well worth it if it's a better Tune and there support and customer service is better. I'm also looking at VMP as well.

BAMA Tune question

Aaahhhh I see, I got in the tunes for life buying the tuner. I know you can get it separate but does Lund offer the same?

Edit: Nevermind checked out the site and saw for myself

Bama is one payment of $150 (tunes for life) and Lund is $200 per tune revision, right? So Lund isn't just $50 more...

Once again, you mean Bama not AM. It's Bama who makes the tunes...

Idk this sort of thing bugs me so much but it does haha...

Tunes for life isn't worth much if ever time you want to change your Tune they can't or won't do it for whatever reason.

True, but in your case you when you purchased Bama Tunes for Life no where on the product page says anything ab the Hybrid tune. They don't advertise it. It's spread by word of mouth and you can (or could of) request it by contacting AM. So basically no where on the contract said they had to honor their "hybrid" tune, only their Street/Perf/Race tunes.

Yea I was referring to A.M. cleaning up Bama. I fixed my post for better clarification. According to Lund Racing website they do free revisions if you just add bolt-ons but not if you add big power adders i.e. Turbo/supercharger.

Ah I gotcha. Thanks. Didn't know that... Haven't really looked into Lund too much yet.

Also if anyone is looking for a free tunes for life check out Steeda, there hasn't been a single reported problem with one of their tunes.

I'm on seven major boards and have never seen a reported failure. With Bama for instance I've seen far to many.

Wasn't doubting him. Haven't seen any reported failures either. Just seeing if he had a solid source or something. Not every Steeda tuned mustang owner may be on a forum.

You guys have me intrigues with the Hybrid tune and I am thinking I am going to ask them to send me that tune to upload and try. BUT, I do have one obviously novice question. What is the ghost cam thing that I hear peole talking about? What does it do and what are the pros and cons?

Only for 11-14 Mustangs with no cat converters. Gives your exhaust note that lopey idle as if you had a real hot rod cam in the motor.

Not really any solid source, I think steeda posted on here that they haven't had any problems yet, and also I haven't seen any negatives at all regarding steeda tunes on a couple other boards. Compared to bama they shine in terms of piece of mind.

Should an engine failure occur, we would work with the Ford dealer for proper diagnostics, this would include not only traditional diagnostics but things such as fuel octane testing and other techniques to fully determine the cause of failure. Should it be determined that indeed the tuning was the cause of the engine failure and not abuse, over revving, improper fuel octane, etc, then we would work with the customer on resolving the failure.

You are in good hands with Steeda ... dealerships know our reputation & sell our vehicles ... you have nothing to worry about.

Best Regards,

Now the only remaining factor is what type of error(s) was he referring to? Blown engines, or slightly-off engine parameters, etc.?
