Changing out interior lights to LED

Hey guys, has anyone changed there lighting to LED's?? I have done all of them in the car, (license plate, trunk, visors) BUT the center map lights are just impossible to do!!! I cant seem to get the housing removed. Has anyone done this before or have a trick in doing it? I have searched youTube and all it says is just "its easy"..........ITS NOT.

Thanks ahead y'all!!

I did it. You literally just pull down on it and it pops out of the retaining clips. Don't pull to far because there is that connector haha

Thanks brotha! I appreciate that! But when you say pull down, with a great amount of force Im assuming because I already am using some strength (didnt wanna put to much pressure) but just wont budge man.....

Yeah, for mine, the clips were holding it in pretty good and I had to pull down with some decent force. I found it easier when I had my thumbs wedged under the edge facing the back of the car and then pulled down with my thumbs.

Yeah, you're going to really have to put force behind it. The clamps are strong, though. Don't worry too much about breaking them. I've switched my dome lights twice.

Finally got it out but the bulb wont fit in the housing, what size are you using? I believe these are the T10. I saw a video of a guy do it from the opposite side, meaning he just removed the plastic circle part and did it from that instead of going from inside of housing, make sense?? lol

That's how I did it. Pop the lenses out with a pocket knife or screwdriver, pull the stock lights out and plug the new ones in.

Ok but you still brought the whole housing down right?? Meaning both the housing was brought down AND you removed the lens so you can have access from the top and bottom right?

Pull the whole housing down, then pop the lenses out if the new lamps are too big to go through the hole. Put the new lamps in, then reinstall the lenses and then the housing.

Right. I guess that it'd be completely possible to do it without pulling it down, but it was just easier to pull it down for me so I could see what I was doing.
