Stock '12 GT.. What should I do 1st??

So I just purchased a 2012 GT Premium Mustang tonight. This car is completely stock. What are some necessary upgrades/tunes I should do. I'm not looking to break the bank.

First thing I did was replace the speakers. Never regretted it.

My first three mods were:
1. GT500 axle back exhaust
2. Lowering springs and all parts to make it work properly
3. Wheels

Well my first on the 2013 GT was to add the MMD side louvers, not a fan of the plain window. (like $200 painted to match). if it is a manual get a short shifter and bracket, I got Barton but the stock is sloppy I think. After that a tune with or without Cold air intake is what most reccomend. I did that, grille and H pipe with muffler deletes for about $2,100ish

Manual. I drive 2 miles a day for work. I am looking at putting 5-6K miles a year on it. That's on the high end.

I wouldn't worry about any power adder just yet, if your just driving to work. Never in a hurry to get too work.. Lol go with new rims. That really sets the look on a car anyway..

A set of axlebacks is the most gratifying mod u will ever do to your car. May not give it power (already has plenty) but it will make u sound like a proper muscle car. Then suspension should go after

I started with tinting the windows a week after I bought mine and then a set of roush axle backs. Those are two cost effective mods. Cheap and it makes your stang look aggressive and sound aggressive

People have given you a lot of choices, many choices come with other things to do, Cosmetics is a good start. My opinion: Wheels and Exhaust first.

I'm definitely doing exhaust. Don't wanna spend money on wheels and tires yet.

The most important mod you should start with is replacing the stock awful shifter with an MGW short throw. It makes a world of difference. I would stay away from engine tunes for now and maybe work on the suspension next.

It makes an enormous difference. The shorter , tighter throws makes for sportier mustang. It improves performance and shift times not to mention makes the car more enjoyable to drive. The stock manual is terrible. Trust me on this

I watched video on that. Looks sweet. Hopefully the wife will let me throw some money at this car this soon! Anyone have an idea where I can get the Flowmaster Outlaws at a good price?

Just installed the Raxiom navi and backup camera on my 14' gt. I got lucky and found one on mustang forums for $450 shipped. For $700 you can upgrade your suspension.

In all mods there are some that becomes fads. Is the MGW one of those, more a personal preference, or a must for every enthusiast?

Everyone is different but it's my first mod. I had a Barton in my 2010 GT. Have a MGW now in my 2011 GT. If you've ever upgraded the stock shifter and compared it to the aftermarket options you'll see what a POS Ford puts in there.

Here's the rear bracket from an 11 GT. Yeah, those are zip ties holding it in there. Looks like they didn't even try.Click image for larger version

Had it done at a local Mustang shop. They took about an hour. Didn't take them long because they had done a coupe before.
