Barton Vs MGW

I'm looking into getting a short shifter for my newly purchased stock 12 GT.Ive narrowed it down to either MGW or a Barton, but I can't decide between the two.Pros/Cons of either?Experiences with either or would help me make a choice. The MGW looks like a more sophisticated part but ive heard good stuff about the Barton as well.I don't know what to do,guys help me make a decision!!!! Lol

I had Barton w/ the 2 post bracket, it had nice tight short shifts and performed good and had extra mechanical feel. The cons- super tough reverse (need to muscle to get in always) and drivetrain noise is annoying as heck.

MGW- just perfect in every way, feels like a stock unit should. Extra peace of mind knowing the lower shift box adds extra leverage for the floaty remote link arm. Con- Barton has a slightly shorter shift

This is the part where u ask yourself, do u want the best, or 2nd best?? MGW is the hands down winner, this coming from someone who owned both

Not sure if I trust myself with something so vital to the car as a shifter

I have a Barton and the regular bracket. I don't have a big issue into reverse. Dont need muscle but little hard to find on ocassion. As for shifting it is smooth and perfect. LOVE it. All the second giessing regarding manual as choice was gone instantly. Love it. I will say they call it a 40% shorter shift and they arent lying. It is significantly shorter.

Can't say enough good things about my MGW. Had a Barton in my 2010 GT. Very well made too but I went with the MGW this time around because it replaces the complete shifter w/box.

MGW has a really detailed install video. Shows all tools required and steps necessary. As long as you have jack stands and a jack, is about a 2 hour job. Just go to the MGW website.

I installed the MGW myself in just a little amount of time.
Im am 47 and it was easy.
If you are in doubt. just que up the video, watch it one time. Restart it, pause it and then press play as you follow the steps.
