Upgrading rear tires

Hey guys its about that time to get new tires, ive burned off my stock 235/50/18 all season Pirellis on my 2014 gt mustang and im looking for the best summer tire that will hold best traction in a straight line and will last the longest, keep in mind these are going on my stock rear 18x8 wheels. I dont care about road noise, wet traction, and cornering is nice but id rather go for straight line treads. Thanks for the help

We upgraded to Michelin Pilot Super Sports and there is an ENORMOUS difference in these and the Pirelli's. We did go a lot wider though

We have 285/40/19 in the rear and 275/40/19 in the front. Got them at Discount Tire as well. The rears have some bite to them.

Yes, lowered 1.5 rear and 1.3 front. They are perfect with the drifts. Michelin are true to size as I have heard some other tires are a more narrow than spec. I will get some good wheel well pics this weekend. We went with a bit taller sidewall (40) so it would fill the well up good and they are quite a bit smoother ride.

That was my thinking too and in addition my overall diameter won't be off by much so I should be able to get my speedo recalibrated a dealer. I don't have tune or anything yet so I'm not worried about taking it there. I was just worried about possible running with the taller tire especially when I'm ready to drop it a bit.

I would say nitto or m/t. They have really good performance summer tires.
