Rear tires and speedo adjustment

I'm thinking of up grading my 2014 Gt rims and tires. The stock silver 18x8s just don't look good. I want 19x9s in the front 19x10s in the rear. My car is not lowered and will not be lowered but I want a taller tire in back does anybody know what's the tallest widest tire I can fit under the back without issues of suspension travel and how do you correct the speedometer from goin with a taller tire

I don't know what the tallest tire is, but you might want to have some taller gears if you go too tall, correcting the speedo is done with a tune

You would actually wanted shorter / lower gears, not taller / higher.

Higher numbers = shorter gears
Lower numbers = taller gears

2.73 is taller / higher than 3.73

I have been trying to get my wheel setup figured out lately as well. After much research and debate I have decided to go with 275 square setup with the sve drifts. This is fine with me as this is my daily driver and just a fun car for me. I'm not regularly going to the track or doing any competitions. My reasons for not going staggered were avoiding going through tires as well as possible issues with abs and traction control. Since my diameters will still be different from stock I will also have to recalibrate the speedo. I called a couple of local ford dealerships and talked to one that said they would do it, however for them do it the diameter as to be within the range of the computer.

They would fit. We are running Michelin Pilot Super Sports 275/40/19 front and 285/40/19 rear and we are lowered. No rubs and these tires run true to size.

9.5 wheels
+35mm offset
6.63in Backspacing

You can go with a 35 profile tire and it looks great, they are just a lot rougher daily driving. The 40s fill the wheel wells completely and are awesome daily and still great track tires.

Any issues with the 285's on the 9.5 wheels? I was think 275 was cutting it fairly close on the 9.5's

Not at all. We could'a gone 295 but that would have been cutting it close, especially in the PSS

Why would the circumference of the tire have to do with the width

285 compared to the 295 both with the aspect ratio of 40 would have added a total of 4mm to the top of wheel well and 8mm to the front & back. With 10mm more in width, we would probably rub in the rear lowered like we are. It would be really close.
