Is it worth spending around 300. For one.

Yes. It is worth $300. Even if you don't use a tuner, the sound alone is worth the price of admission.

We run a JLT carbon CAI and love it we have a carbon theme going though Their standard one works exactly the same. The Steeda looks great as well as the Airaide's. All create a better sound and look IMHO and you can see a modest gain in HP. You will have to tune though with any of the three mentioned. That is what muddies the waters when talking CAI's

$300? Nah. I have a Steeda, but only paid $180 for it.

I really wanted to stick with the stock air box setup when I did the Boss manifold. But the Boss install kit is already $200; at that point it only made sense to spring for an aftermarket CAI, and I got lucky anyway and found a used Steeda piece for $200. It does make the intake noise much rowdier.
