I pulled the skip shift solenoid but the car is still telling me to go 1-4.I know I pulled the right one,why would it still be reading it if the plug is pulled on it??

How did you do this? Did You just pull it out of the side of the transmission?

Or are you saying you've just unplugged it? Because when I just unplugged mine it still showed on the dash but I could shift into 2nd still.

What do you mean by that? You pulled the entire solenoid out the side of the trans? If so what did you use to cover the hole?

and to answer your g=question, yes.. If you unplug the solenoid the dash will still say to preform skipshift feature, but the solenoid you unpluged wont engage to lock out 2nd and 3rd gear.

I heard Ford put this in because EPA testers didn't know how to drive a manual and get good MPG. Man, what a waste of money, I am glad they quit this crap.

I honestly have never felt this 1-4 skip shift feature, ever. I see that people complain about it on these cars and my brother has a cts-v and people complain about it in those cars a ton as well but Idk I just have not encountered that in either car. Weird.

Ford removed it in 2013+ from the GTs and V6, so you wont feel it ever in your car. That is why I said I am glad they got rid of it.

Ah ok I guess I didn't see that, but I have never felt it on my brothers cadillac and he hasn't either and those supposedly have it too.

OK, what year is the Bro's CTS-V? Or if it isn't a CTS-V exactly what is it and we wont have to suppose, we will know yes or no if it has it or not.
