Newly Installed Boss 302 Mani in 2013 GT - getting P0420 code

Hey everyone - I've been lurking for a long time, and now could use some help.

I drive a 2013 GT, and have installed the Boss 302 manifold. A couple days after the install, I was given the P0420 code. I cleared it, and a couple days later it came back.

I will say that during my install, I noticed the o-rings on my injectors were sandy dirty (I live in Vegas), and I brushed them off, and put them back on. Everything seemed fine. Also, I am wondering if my soldering job on the purge valve re-location was bad.

The car seems to be running fine, but this code is getting under my skin. Where should I start looking for solutions so I don't spend unnecessary dough?

Injectors? Cats?

Just for info's sake, I am using a Bama custom tune, and loading it with a Diablosport in-tune. I suppose I could try returning to stock and reloading the tune? That seems easy enough.

Anway, enough of me babbling - I submit this to you all!
Thanks in advance!!!!

I would go back and make sure everything is buttoned up and then reload the tune. Start with the simple **** first.

You need to list all your mods. That would be helpful. Do you have an off road mid pipe? If you do it looks like the rear o2's weren't turned off in the tune.

My only exhaust mod at this point are Borla S axlebacks. Probably not the reason.
In front of the mani I have Airraid CAI with proper coupler for Boss 302, and BBK 85mm TB.

If this helps, the light only comes on after high rpms. Usually anything over 5k.

I cleared the code yesterday at 4pm, and after driving home from work (15 miles) and back this morning, no light. But I took it easy both trips.

If everything is correct as far as installation goes, it sounds like it is more of a tuning issue. Does the company you're tuning with know about that 85mm TB? Good luck and let us know.

Did you list all of your mods when you purchased it?

Could be a bad rear o2 sensor. P0420 is a catalyst efficiency code.

It is possible, but my thoughts seem to be that this only started to occur once the manifold was installed. However, working at a dealership I have seen this kind of concern before and it ended up being a defective factory part. I won't rule out the possibility. I've seen it both ways.

I checked the tuning sheet and everything checks out. I have been wondering about the O2 sensor as well. It's 7:15pm here, and have been driving all day and the code hasn't shown itself. I am curious that it seems to come on under high rpms and high temps. I will take some time and check all the bolts, etc.
Probably couldn't hurt to have my O2 sensors checked too.

Only way I know of checking them is with diagnostic software that shows live data. Hope you have access to that. I'm now wondering if you aren't getting un-metered air coming in when you flex the motor from punching it and some is getting in past the boot to the trottle body. I'd think that would throw a lean code though, not a cat deficiency.
