2011 GT upgrades...yeah I'm new - Mustang Evolution

2011 GT upgrades...yeah I'm new

I have a 2011 GT with 3.73 gears, manual, and an axle back exhaust with muffler deletes. A Steeda CAI and sct tuner. I was thinking about lowering it and putting a lightened drive shaft on it. VS the idea of a full exhaust with cat deletes but bang for buck which would you all go with?

I would put an off road X pipe, and lower it. I think those two things you and everyone around you will notice more as in "bang for you buck". We have a 1pc Aluminum DS and love it, but no one will know about it but the driver. Never had anyone come up and ask or comment about how nice our driveshaft looks or sounds You will need to re-tune if getting rid of the cats tho.

This may sound stupid but does the driveshaft need balanced? It spins so I always think things that spin need balanced....

They come balanced. You do need to be able to adjust your pinion angle though. Adjustable Lower Control Arms and or an adjustable Upper Control Arm are what you need to set your pinion angle. So if you get a 1piece DS, you need a minimum of one of the two types of adjustable control arms. With a 1pc DS, you definitely feel a difference launching, your acceleration is more responsive, but it is not a night and day difference.
