RAXIOM Nav without sync.

I understand people have said that the RAXIOM Nav dash screen will not work on a base 5.0 model, but I was wondering if anyone has found what doesn't work. It as a whole, or missing links. I am interested in the navigation screen, if I can't use that, I have a phone, more importantly. I want the rear view and radio connection. Also. When we looked at the car we were told it had sync and all, just not the screen, also the satellite radio. Turns out I don't have satellite or sync, but I have a free membership trial for Sirius, thanks ford. They also said there is no way to add sync or anything to my car. Any help would be appreciated. I posted this also because I couldn't find any forums really about this problem. If there is, I'm sorry.

You CAN add sync, but it is pretty complicated. Read this thread.
Some of these guys added sync to their cars:

I think it might work, but all this unit is, is a bridge or new display for the stock unit. Basically it's a plug and play option that utilizes the factory USB, mic, steering controls and SYNC options. I'm sure it may work, but it'll probably work totally half assed. Your better off getting and aftermarket unit with all the bells and whistles.

Yeah.. Sadly.. I read about other doing it but they had some sync button added to the car and added the sync computer to the glove box. I just don't feel like buying a $700 radio AND a dash kit. Which. Will be about $300-500.

Keep it stock then, with these Mustangs there's so many other things that need to be addressed like adding at least an decent set of axlebacks and fixing the god awful stance by lowering it to a fairly normal stance

Checkout the kenwood Dnx890hd. U can score one on eBay fairly cheap and it is 100x better than the Raxiom because it is a full stereo with EQ, camera, amp pre-outs, navi, etc. Raxiom is only good for Sync and has a decent navi(Meh). I have one.

Thoughts on a custom dash kit or pre made?

Premade is cheapest and it will look as close to stock as you can get. The kenwood is the way to go along with a 4 channel amp.
