Scratched the car at apartment gate

Hi guys! I scratched my car at apartment gate.. It's my f****** bad as I was tail gating and the car in front stopped
Gate it the back quarter panel.
It seems like paint is not
gone but clear coat is torn.. I am in Atlanta and I went and got couple of estimates.. Varies from 800 to 300.
It would be great if somebody suggests a place where price is ok and they do it properly. Also what brand paint should be used? Suggestions please!!
Thanks

Report it to the property management. Even if you were tailgating the gate should have stopped and not hit your car.
Don't tell them you were tailgating.

Thanks for the responses.. Property management won't pay anything for sure. I will have to go to insurance and they might go against the property management according to their conclusion.. Well it's gonna cost me more as I have a 500 deductible. They might give it back later if they win the case..
I think it will be more straight forward to get it done form somewhere cost effective

I would recommend going over to crashmasters in Kennesaw. I've worked with them before and they did great work at an affordable price. They are also family owned from what I remember, so you will be more likely to negotiate the price.

ouch man. Yeah I live in Atlanta too. All the gates are like that. Stinks. Anyways I actually have a connection to Classic Collision here in Duluth. I just had them do a right side paint job on my girl's Subie. The black match perfectly and the orange peel was priceless. Looked factory. I work at a dealership close to them and we send them a lot of work. Took care of us for sure. It's worth a shot to see what they can do for you if you tell them I sent you.

Ouch that really sucks, I really wouldn't bother your insurance about that as it may bring your premium up and I have to pay the deductible on top of that. Your better off biting the bullet and do the $600 -$800. Should be around the $600 mark at a reputable body shop

His insurance will more than likely seek payment from the complex if he goes that route. My company recently had to pay for the exact same thing happening to a clients car.

Thanks for checking in!
I went there and got a quote of 720$. Went this weekend and shopped around.. Got 2 quotes of 400$ from macco and hongs in Marietta. I am planning to go with Hongs as the work shop and the quote details seems ok and got some good reviews in net. He also offered life time guarantee which no one offered at that rate.. Let me see how it goes..

Every car I own, one of the first things I get besides the Chilton manual, is color match paint from "DR Color Chip". I've used it to touch up my Kona Blue GT multiple times. A cheap alternative and if that doesn't fix it to your liking, you will have it for future and it's WAY cheaper than your other alternatives. Good luck!

Lololol +1 that's silly. If a car runs into the back of a car it will never be the car who got hits fault

It looked by his post that the gate hit his car. Rereading it I still can't tell if the gate hit him or he hit the car in front of him.
