Borla S-Type Axle Back For Daily Driver?

Hey, I just got my Borla S-Type Axle Backs on my 14' GT (stock). I love the sound and the rumble, but they are a little bit loud. Does anyone have these axle backs on a daily driver? Also, is there some kind of break in period? I have noticed what I think is drone around 1800-2200 RPM (vibrates in car a little and minor buzzing sound inside the cab). Overall, these sound great and I think I will like them more as I put more miles on them. I have only driven about 25 miles with these so far.

I have been thinking about getting them. I have the gt 500 mufflers on now and they don't seem quite enough in mean sounded. Good info to know.

I can't speak about the Borla S-types but I had the Roush AB on my 14 GT for awhile which people say sound similar to the Borla S-type, and the loudness of the Roush started getting to me at times and my car is not a daily driver. I installed the GT500 AB and am now happy.

I just turned 47 so I guess I just don't like loud exhaust like I used to. I loved the sound of the Roush but only in small doses. From the YT videos I've listened to of the Borla S-types, I can tell you that I wouldn't like them on a daily driver.

I've just installed the Borla Touring axle backs and they are about as loud as I care to go. Nice mellow grumble.

I have noticed what I think is drone around 1800-2200 RPM (vibrates in car a little and minor buzzing sound inside the cab).

Yes, there is a very different sound, similar to a harmonic at quite excatly 2000 RPM. Not as wide as 1800-2200. I have noticed this on 4 quite different cars already (3 x V8 and one V6, all with Borla). I assume this is inherent to car initial design, and all were strong after I installed Borla. Even the SHOGUN V6 did that. The rumble is replaced with a different sound, at a very acurate frequency, and the result is not as enjoyable as the rest of the RPM range.

My 2012 GT does it too, but I dont worry anymore.
