Borla S-Type Axle Back 2K RPM Loud

Hey, I have put about 50 miles on my Borla S-Types so far. The rest of the car is stock (14' GT). They sound great up until about 2K RPMs but at 2K the sound in the cab gets noticeably louder. Does anyone else experience this and does it quiet down after more miles are on them? Thanks.

The Borla's sound wicked! I think you made a good choice and in time, you will most probably get used to it and like it more. In all the mufflers I've swapped over the years, I've never had any of them change over time really, I think it is what it is brother.

I like them and am keeping them. I was just wondering if the sound at 2K RPM was drone (this is my first exhaust system).

Cut the resonators out weld in 3" stainless in its place, longtubes, and O/R H. You'll thank me later

They will sound better after 500-700 miles. Also, they will sound better after they are warmed up during every day driving...not sure as to the why! My Ataks get loud above 2k, but all of 6th gear is fairly tame.

My flowmaster American thunders drone at 2K went under a load like pulling a hill or something. If I have any change in the door pocket, it will rattle.

I have figured that it is not drone, just the way they sound. I have put about 150 miles on them and love them. They sound great at start up and have a deep growl when cruising.
