Exhaust question about resonators

I searched and got about 1/2 the knowledge I was looking for... I think.

I have a 2013 GT with Pypes offroad H-pipe and Pype Bomb axle backs. I love the sound and it is a daily driver that goes on the highway rarely. Mostly around town at 45-60.

I just took a highway trip to Miami and I definitely noticed that running about 80mph I was in the 2000-25000rpm range the exhaust does have a somewhat loud hum with some vibration (very little) sound that is loud enough to make a long trip a little hard to deal with (Mainly for the girlfriend). I think this is what allot of people refer to as Drone? It sounds like adding resonators would eliminate some of that but again that is just from trying to search the forum for help.

Can anyone let me know if I am on the right track with that and if the sound I am hearing is what most refer to as drone? Never really on highway so first time I noticed it since GF pointed out.

Look under the car, they sit just aft of the h-pipe. I took mine out, but may be regretting it once I get the x-pipe on. I don't wanna sound like John Force all the time.

Thank you I will check out after work. So they will be between the H pipe and the axlebacks then right?

Yep that's where they are. They're tube-shaped, kinda like a cherry bomb muffler, little over a foot long. They definitely make a difference in sound when taken out.
