DEFINITELY get the bracket. Makes a ton of difference. I have a Barton but all the will benefit from the bracket. As for install I had a local shop guy do because everything I read said you needed a lift for a bolt or two. For what its worth they swapped it out and did my off road H pipe, axle backs, CAI and set tune for $340
