Shifter Replacement

I've about decided on a Steeda short throw shifter to replace my stock 2014 GT shifter. I have viewed many threads here and on other sites and the two most recommended seem to be the MGW and Steeda. I decided on Steeda based on the recommendation of a professional in the field of auto maintenance and repair who used all Steeda parts to upgrade his Mustang.

My first question is should I have the new shifter installed using the factory bushing and bracket or should I buy the shifter kit which includes Steeda's bracket and bushing as well?

My second question is who can I get to install the new shifter for me who is qualified to do the job? A dealership or a shop like Pep Boys, Firestone, Goodyear, etc? I don't feel qualified, nor do I have the time to do it myself.

Thanks in advance for your help.

DEFINITELY get the bracket. Makes a ton of difference. I have a Barton but all the will benefit from the bracket. As for install I had a local shop guy do because everything I read said you needed a lift for a bolt or two. For what its worth they swapped it out and did my off road H pipe, axle backs, CAI and set tune for $340
