You will need a dealer to do your PATS programming all of the keys.

I can program myself because I have two keys. The owners manual describes how to program a spare key. I was curious if anyone has done this on a 2014 and does it become a spare third key or does it replace your original 2.

You can program up to 8 keys by using two programmed keys

Cycle key 1 for 3 sec. Cycle key 2 for 3 sec then cycle new key for 3 sec. Should work after that but id check to see if the fob part works b4 u attempt to start the car just in case

You can program up to 8 keys. Be aware that not all of the keys on eBay are compatible with the remote buttons on the key. I've bought two and both will start the car but I couldn't program the remote buttons on either one.

yes, and this is a good idea as you NEED two to program more......If you only have two and loose one it now involves a trip to the dealer.

Finally got my Mustang flip key. Info in comments. : Mustang

In there they talk about how to get the buttons to work. It's different than programming it to start your car.

Ok got the key it came fast. Went straight to locksmith they cut for 2.00. Went home and took about 2 minutes to program key and fob. Feels like decent quality. Fob works good cars in garage and still works about six houses down the street.Click image for larger version

Did it come pre cut like that? Or did you have to go have it cut?

They have a very small pin that holds the key portion onto the flipper. Nobody would touch the key to cut it the way it is. So I punched the small pin out and took it ti Ace Hardware. The guy cut the new key for free. Then I went home and put the new cut key back on. These come with chips in them, so if you have two keys the programming takes a few minutes. These are great.

Sorry I know this is an old thread but I really want to know if this really works. Does it work with the factory alarm? Does anybody have a link to where to buy it?

Which one did you buy? Is it the one that looks like a VW key?
