Power Mod Supercharger suggestions

Hello Guys,

So i'm a new mustang GT owner.

So far ive done black billet grill, gear stick change, and a flowmaster outlaw catback exhaust.

Eventually im going to make this thing into a Fu****g Monster.

But im looking for pure torque that is DD.

So im not looking for a twin hellion turbo kit, thats just way too much and i dont want the long spool up.

I want that 0-90 speed and grunt.

Im in CA..i was looking at the Whipple supercharger that should get it up to about 725 to wheels.

Does anybody have suggestions or advice?

725 not going to happen on a stock moror. Just get the tvs from VMP. To get your 725 you will need to go forged and a return style fuel system. Your looking at about 10k installes by a shop for going forged and a return sytem .

Also you going to need off road mid. Or long tubes. Driveshaft. And suspension. And clutch if its a manual. I have about 20k in my build so far to date. I am a nitrous car though

You could get a Paxton and a good tune and see better power gains than the Whipple on your stock motor. A buddy of mine was making 805 with that setup on e85 on stock motor for three years as a daily driver and beating on it every weekend. But if money's no option the forge it. Those stock rotating assemblies are good for it. They just slowly bend rods that's their down falls over 800 mark. Not knocking on you there rapinator126.

Calling bull**** on 800 on stock motor of he was actually beating on it. If he drove it like a grandma then possibly. Also centri sucks on Tq. So his goal of 0-90 grunt won't be satisfied with a centri. I destroy centri cars all the time. Even on my old setup.

Also what fuel system did your buddy have?

Stock rotating assembly is not good for 800 either buddy.

If you want torque, for sure a root/twin screw SC is the way you want to go. Like Rapinator states though, wouldnt go too much above 600hp, or even there with that type without taking care of the bottom end of your motor. Those are also are harder on lower end of you motor.

We are going centri (vortech) because the car is a daily driver. No boost to speak of until 3500rpms so if you are putting around or in wet conditions, it will be more drivable.

I would take a centri over a root/ twinscew personally. I don't like the little tq they make. But you can always back that up with a shot of the good stuff

A friend put a Roush 625hp kit in his 13 5.0, nice improvement over stock.
(625 crank hp)
He hasn't dyno'd it yet so I'm not sure what it puts to the tires. He had the dealership where he bought the car do the install. I think he can upgrade it to 675.
A good tuner can put a package together for you, based on your budget & goals for the car.

If torque is what you're after, than stick with the positive displacement blowers like TVS (Roush) or Whipple. They'll give the performance you're looking for!

Your stock bottom end won't support more than 600rwhp for very long. As others have said, you'll need a forged shortblock to hit 700+rwhp. As well as a return style fuel system.

Your factory fuel system will be good for 600rwhp with a BAP (boost-a-pump) and upgraded fuel injectors. I'd give this a go first to see how you like it (you WILL). Then if you want more power, you can take the next step of forging the shortblock and upgrading the fuel system.

We made 624/ 510 with our whippled 11 GT, we're making 633/ 556 with our 2013 Roush blown car. That's with 47lbs injectors and a BAP but we're running pretty lean past 6k RPM, we just put Deatschwerk 95lbs injectors which will allow us to get a fee more HP up top.
If you're more into just street driving and road course I would go with a PD. Paxton's are pretty decent as well, we've been selling a lot recently. The VMP kit is probably the best kit hands down for the money! We've pushed a few of those out as well as some nice custom 2.9 whipple kits You have plenty of choices. I've tested and installed just about everyone one of them.

I ran 760 RWHP on a stock motor for 8,000 km before my blew..

Go with a TVS, you will be more than happy with anything over 500 RWHP on a DD.

Driveability will be an issue : the torque curve has to be progressive, or you will ruin it at the first rain. Volumetric compressor should be considered, against a turbo.

Also, a turbo on such a strong engine will apply way too much stress while trying to crank the shaft, when hi pressure boost kicks in at low engine RPM. Engine at risk of being destroyed very shortly.

It is also true that the above is expensive, at roughly $8K once tuned correctly.

Can't even handle the baby *** tune from Roush Lol.

This is the reason why some people do not need these cars. Everyone thinks there a expert driver when this guy obviously couldn't even handle the power from a Prius

wow !!!

what a sad view of the use some people make of these cars. Right, it was obvious early that this would not have a happy ending.
