Maybe they recently locked users out for a better "guarantee"? Possible I suppose.

May be true for you. But the 2 sets of crap tunes I got from them I couldn't adjust anything. They can select to let u adjust options or not when they write the tune. My Lund tune let's me adjust options.

Buy the SCT tunning software. You will beable to do the exact same stuff bama does. **** there's even a option for id1000's in the new software.

Just got off the phone with them. This rep was a lot better than the last. He assured me it was not the O2 sensor remaining on and that it was an air/fuel ratio SNAFU. They're looking into it and should have me something by today or tomorrow.

He also said they stopped allowing the options a few years ago due to implementing the cylinder #8 warranty and customers essentially using those options to get a free engine.

Cool, cool, cool. One less possibility. Now, did you see that one paragraph detailing a few other culprits? Like a leak somewhere? Chasing these things will make you tear your hair out.

Steeda tunes are like the most safest tunes with great performance, not fast food. They power Ford dealer sold new warranty hot rods they have to be safe as well as perform.

MPT and Lund tunes are like the most extreme performance, specialist not fast food.

I've dealt with the P219a code on my 12 GT w OR-X pipe. Steeda re-tuned it and then worked w me on data logging to lock in the tune w improved idle, no code, etc. it takes some effort on your part to Datalog but that gives your tuner better data to base your tune revisions.

I bought the x3 tuner a couple of years back from Bama. When I asked for one of their canned supercharger tunes they said that they don't do blower tunes. They would not refund my money on the tuner. I called several people there ans said nowhere was it written they didn't do blower tunes...that customer DISservice sucks- I still have the new SCT tuner to this day and can't use the dang thing. Unmarried and unlocked in case anyone wants to make me an offer. Grrrr...

Most important question here is. Why would you even think of going to bama for a supercharged tune?

Went and bought an O2 sensor per BAMA's instruction. Ended up returning it and just running my VMP tune. Going to take the car to a dyno shop later this week hopefully and see what the BAMA tune's A/F ratio is and give them a call afterwards.

Meanwhile....does anyone have suggestions on how much timing to run with just the O/R x pipe? The VMP has options and right now it's set to 0 degrees.

If the timing was 0 degrees, it wouldn't run very well, if at all. The 0 degrees you see is probably a corrected angle kind of thing. I deal with it all the time at the shop. After market places retarding the timing thinking the car will run better when really all it needed was an induction service and good cleaning of the throttle body carbon build up.

no need to for the moment. keep it safe. if you advance the timing too much you can start pinging and cause some damage. that is, if the tune will let you go that far. some systems work in a way where you try to command it to go but it won't because it starts knocking.

Ah. Was curious because it seems a lot more mild than the BAMA race tune. Every time I call them they just blame the o2 sensor. Anyone able to walk me through the data log process?
