Brake Squeaking

I've got a 2011 GT with Brembos on it. Lately I've noticed that the brakes squeak at a certain pressure of force on the brake pedal. For instance if I put fairly light pressure on the pedal (during a normal stop at a stop sign or traffic light) there is a constant high pitched metal on metal squeaking. If i have to put a lot of pressure on the brakes, there is no squeaking. There is only 11k miles on the car and it has never been tracked or raced. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated!

Brake Squeaking

Go a perform a break in cycle of the pads. (On a stretch where no other cars or people are around).

3 sets of the following... With like 15 minute cooling between sets

Speed up to 40. Slam the brakes (hard but not enough to engage abs). Quickly repeat... 4-5 times. Might smell burning or see blue smoke. Normal. When finished, let brakes cool. Do not come to complete stop while engaging the brakes (do not let the hot pads sit stationary against the rotors). No parking brake either. Basically find a spot to rest where you can coast to a stop on level ground.

No kiddin? Damn my brakes have been doing the same for the last few thousand miles and it drives me nuts. I thought I already needed to replace the pads but I'll have to try this.

Speaking of getting new pads...if it is the case I need new pads (which I hope it's not) should I get new rotors as well? Again, not many miles on the car.

I think it's a fairly common thing with the factory pads for them to squeak some bc they are a harder compound than the base GT. Once they warm up they shouldn't squeak. I never did the break in cycle and mine eventually went away. I'm at 38k now and need new pads

The pads are meant to run hotter bc it's somewhat of a "track pad" rears are same as base GT though

I've noticed it's not as bad when they get warm, but they seem to need to be very warm in order to stay quiet. I can do standard driving around town for 20 minutes and they will squeak the whole time at certain pressure points.

Mine were the same.. Gotta really use em to get me warm enough.. I'll prolly do a softer pad this go around. I haven't researched much yet though as to which I will go with
