I'm assuming your Mustang is a manual? I'd upgrade the gear if you're looking for the most significant straight line acceleration gain. 3.73's are pretty tall for the MT82 transmission, you'll notice a big difference at WOT.

If you cruise on the highway often, it may be too much gear for you. That all depends on what you prefer and how worried about keeping optimum MPG's you are.

BTW- you'll love the nitrous when the time comes. It's my favorite power adder!

You can hit 11's without the bottle. 4.10's and don't look back.

4.10's driveshaft. Full exhaust and a tune. With slicks AMD skinnys will get you in the 11's. A good tune though. Dyno tune. Or rev auto, AED, lund

Definitely go with gears. I had the 3.73 on my 2011 and plan on adding dowen the road. even those I felt reved awful high on hwy so I cant imagine 4.10. Manifold just wont do much until you get way up in RPM's

Neither. Go with a converter. You will gain nothing with the gear change on the auto.

Not with your steda tune. Like I said earlier. All you need for 11's in a auto is. 4.10's. Full exhaust. Bad *** tune and a Cai. Here is ronnie's wife's car. He is the head tech at rev auto. http://youtu.be/rtMMsLWmS4Q

A stall will make a big *** difference. But its not needed for 11's. But your stedda tune will not get you there

Nice run but I stated it's a highway cR I'm not going to go down to 19mpg for gears I'm not a racer . 4.10s are awesome but not for a highway dd and weekend warrior . Thanks though and all those tunes are like 300 bucks and pushing your engine to limit my steeda tune is safe and still fun as hell

You can certainly reach 11's without 4.10 gears. 3.73's will do the job just fine, with full bolt-ons and a good tire. As grabberblue5.0 suggested, a torque converter will help a ton too.

Down the road, nitrous should easily push your Mustang into the 10's. All you need is a decent 60'!

That's what I was trying to get at. You want to be fast you have to go all out, on the most important thing which is the tune

So you don't want to push your car with a bad *** tune, but you are willing to spray it? Think about that for a minute

I'm not doing a tune like that until I have all those bad *** parts . So not doing custom tune until I have my long tunes and a nos kit is what I meant

I see he's not a full bolt-on car yet, using the stock torque converter, and doesn't have drag wheels, which will prevent him from running 11's all motor. However, he will be able to run 11's with full bolt-ons, drag wheels, and a Steeda or Bama tune. Both Steeda and Bama have several 11-14 GT customers in the 11's naturally aspirated.

I do see where you're trying to get at though. The OP needs to have the correct mods to produce results at the track. Without them, there's no chance.

Shane
