A close friend of mine currently owns a 2007 GT and absolutely loves his pony. My buddy is a auto mechanic and while at work today a customer came in with his 2013 mustang. I'm not sure what the customer needed on their stang however at the request of the owner my buddy took the mustang out for a quick drive.

Instantly my buddy is hooked on all the power this 420 HP monster has too offer. So you guessed it, my buddy is now in the market for a 5.0. His wife gave him the green light so he will be selling his 2007 GT and looking for a 5.0. My buddy lives on the mid shore of Maryland and a local Ford dealership is selling a new 2014 base model, 6 speed ,Deep Impact Blue for 24k.

I'm assuming that 24k price is what ever rebates Ford is currently offering for 2014 models, which I have no clue on what those rebates are. To me, that 24k seems like an awesome freaking deal for a 5.0. My buddy is NOT looking for leather, trac pac, Brembo brakes, back up camera, power seats, etc. He is looking for some serious power at an affordable price.

Is 24k a good deal for a base, manual 5.0? Should he pull the trigger at that 24k price or do you guys or girls think there is room to negotiate? Thanks for your input.

For my area that's good. I'd say its 24k + ttr. It's like a house. Location location location. Market and demand are key. He may be able to get 0% and I'd say take my money v

I landed my 14 GT, 6 speed, track pack, tech pack, leather. Basically fully loaded except for heated seats for 34k. Dealer was offering 8k in incentives plus full synthetic oil changes for life for $10 per oil change.

Shop around. The closer you get to August. The more deeply discounted they'll be.

If he lives on the Delmarva peninsula have him give Preston Ford a call, they're located in Preston Maryland, they are a nice place to deal with and always sales going on.

Actually, that's exactly where he said he found the deal. Preston Ford over in Hurlock. Lol. I went on their website looked at their inventory and didn't see a Gt for 24K. Unless it got sold already. Lol

Update. Just spoke to my buddy and he clarified the selling price is 26k and was hoping to negotiate it down to 24k. Any thoughts on the price he can get then down too?

I purchased through USAA car buying program and got almost $7000 off sticker. 32000 for Premium GT with Trackpack. Multiple car buying services out that can help save you money and help you avoid all the back and forth negotiating.

bought a new GT Premium last weekend sticker $44.1K and paid $36.9K. Track Pack, Nav, Recaros and a few other mostly unnecessary things. That's basically $4K in incentives plus another $3.2K off, which is around invoice. Thought it was a good deal. On a stripper model you should be able to snag close to $6K off sticker, but they may be hard to come by.

I got my new 2014 GT with FP8 appearance package for $27, 169 + TTL. I used USAA's buying service. They got me the same price as Hassle-free car-buying experience from a nationwide network of certified dealers. - TrueCar. It was the cheapest price out of three Ford dealers in the San Antonio area.

I had to fight the dealership to honor the price though.

I did, however, get exactly what I wanted including the color and package. Wait too long and you'll probably get a basic white or end up paying sticker price for a 2015.

In Orlando, I purchased a '14 GT Premium in Ruby Red (extra cost) with a sticker of about $36,200 for $29,400 about a month ago. The Premium model has a $4k rebate while the base model only has $3k. If you can get X plan pricing and the $750 brochure rebate, plus all rebates, you'll get a good deal. The base GT I got best priced somewhere around $26k. Don't expect your friend to negotiate another $2k less. It won't happen.

Cool beans. I will tell him that 26k is pretty much where a base GT will sell for.

I purchased from Sterling Koons Ford VA, a 14 GT/CS, with Nav, comfort package, 3.73 ratio, for $35K out the door. Plus he gave me the all weather mats.

Just go to Koons. No one will beat their prices. They are a pure volume dealer.

I wasn't able to find a better price elsewhere either, I showed up and a half hour later I was out with my new car.

I regret not buying my car from them. I got the combo I wanted and paid a bit more for it.

Koons was super easy to deal with via email and phone, too. Awesome guys.

But yeah, cheapest price on the East Coast as far as I can tell. I actually had one dealer in NJ tell me that I was lying about their price until I showed him. Suffice it to say I didn't give a dealer who called me a liar my business . . .

Koons and Ted Britt are always in competition price wise. I bought mine from Koons. All of the ultra cheap base models sell quickly.

Picked up my base manual '14 GT in December with the tech package and 3.73s. Sticker was 34k and I ended up paying 28-29k. Although that was with X-plan pricing and a 2.5k rebate. I should have waited, but I'm too impulsive.
