How do u make DVD play while driving??

Does anyone know how to make the DVD play while driving on a 2014 GT CS? I read that you could cut a wire to the E-brake but I don't think that will work because driving slow with it on still cuts it off. There has to be a better way than paying a car stereo store five hundred dollars for a gadget they install, right?

Would this be for you to watch while driving?!? Or for passengers?

For my 3 and 5 year old passangers. Their mom has one in her SUV and I need one to work in mine so I can safely drive while they quietly watch.

Lockpick can free up all the functions that get disabled. Something like this.
Lock Pick SYNC-FIM (syncfim) Override Kit for all Hard Drive

But if playing a DVD, you can get a hefty ticket. Play at your own risk.

How are a 3 and 5 year old going to both watch a DVD? Not trying to criticize, more concerned about everyone's safety. If they're in the back seats, wouldn't a DVD player attached to your headrest be better?

Growing up in the 80's my parent's solution to fussy kids was "Shut the fk up or you're gonna get slapped the fk up"

Now my nephews need an iPhone each to keep them behaved.

In case no one has told you thus far, the very first click if the e-brake does not activate the brake. It does however bring the light up on your dash. If whose comes to worst, you can ride around with that to keep the DVD playing.

Just go buy one that goes onto the back of the headrest

Don't think for one minute that if it is on the dash you won't be looking at it. It's just a bad terrible accident waiting to happen.
Not a good idea to have it on the dash.

As suggested by Ronnie, my suggestion isn't for everyone. And I can respect that. But it is definitely the most cheap and effective way for sure

Yes, It is his car """BUT"""

How about the cars around this person that he or she runs into.
I just had two friends killed a while ago by a girl Texting while driving.
Watching a DVD player going down a street or highway is no different.
They are cheap enough to buy at Walmart or Pep-Boys to hang on the front seat headrests for viewing by the kids in the back seat.

people eat there #6 meal from McDonald's or txt or make phone calls while driving or have subs in the car bumpin and rattling everything..... this guy having a dvd playing on a small screen shouldn't make a big difference on the road. I am sure he doesn't want crash his 2014 GT just as much as someone doesn't want him to kill them..

Here in Illinois I can legally stop you if I think your distracted while driving ( eating , make up , messing with kids ) and it's a hefty fine. The DVD player I would definitely hem you up as it's illegal in every state

yeah just like in winter if your windows aren't fully defrosted and clear you can get charged for impaired driving..

Mine is set up to play while driving in my car.. and I can tell you the novelty of it wears off very fast! so even if its is a lie and its not for his kids.. Its not like its something you will want to do every time you get in the car. Personally I would rather listen to music then have a video playing.

Ya I really never got wanting it to play while driving as it is a huge discretion watching a video in the corner of your eyes . And really in a mustang the position of the unit isn't suited to have passengers watch movies . How ever the head rests are perfect place for it if there's a need

I'm not going to respond to the political BS. With that said, I just saw a YouTube video of an F-150 with the same SYNC radio and he pushed the telephone button twice on the steering wheel and on screen asked if you wanted to bypass NAV and he touched the phone two more times and it asked if you want to bypass the DVD player he touched "yes" and then it asked if he was a safe driver and touched "yes" again and it started to play a DVD while the car was moving. I can't try this yet because I'm at work but if anyone else can please let me know if this works on the newer mustangs. Thanks.

I just like the ability to do it if I want.
Its really a simple mod..
Just like Id like to be able to be able to control if my break lights, running lights, fog lights, ect.. are on or off.. but no one on here will tell you how
since they assume its for deviance.

OP just google it lol

I just read all the responses from the SOCIALISTS people that are bringing down this once free country. I have kids that want to watch a movie like they do in Mommys car. But you guys turn it into I'm trying to begin a life of crime. When all of you SHEEP-LE bring this country down to where Hitler brought Germany, don't be surprised when the police state kicks in your door, arrests your whole family and puts them in a concentration camp ( witch do exist in every state in Amerika) and confiscates your computer phone laptop etc. because you made an unpopular decision like making a negative statement against the criminal government.Just remember, people like me made these same statements before WWII and everyone said yea right he is crazy and then they woke up dead in an incinerator.

Touch screens have no place in machines that weigh 3000# and are capable of going 100 mph.

MOTO111, you just described yourself as a socialist/commie. This is still somewhat free country. And if somehow you did pull me over and "hem me up", my natural born Sovereign Citizenship would come out of me and view you as a threat to my right of unalienated freedom to travel this country and would take all means against you to proceed ahead. You are an expletive of why are rights are being taken away from us so easily. You are one of the SHHEP-PLE. I hope you wake up soon before it's too late for you and your family.

I'm with the OP that I'd like to have this as an OPTION, not to use every day or if big bad Johnny Law is behind me.

That being said, this thread turned into a ***** show and has earned one of these.

Anyways, has anyone tried to double click the phone button on the steering wheel to see if it will bypass Nav and double tap again to bypass DVD?
