12.42 @116 mph stock 2014 5.0 with exhaust and tuner

I just took my car to the track for the first time for the car and first time I ever raced 3-4 races in I finally race mid 12s. My best time was a 12.42 the cars completely stock with roush exhaust, Bama tuner with nitto 255s with 20 in rims. What are y'all's times and mods?

Bone stock 13.05. Best is 12.7s just cuz I couldn't get in it till 3rd(I'm manual). Got some 305 Michelins now so I'm hoping to get in the very low 12s.

I do have. Will be switching to another tuner before too long though. I'm also lowered w lca's steeda cold air and a few other things. I have factory 3.73s so it's just to hard to really get in it on those factory tires. And both times I went my tires were near their expiration lol.

And track prep where I go blows. But it's the only 1/4 track I know of for over 100 miles. I have to drive about 90-95 miles one way to this one

Yeah my stock tires didn't make it 4 months so I went and bought the black amr nitto tire package and they don't even look like they've worn down the slightest bit

---------- Post added at 01:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:44 AM ----------

And mines an auto so that's prob why my times are as good as they are since autos are better for drag

Yup. It's funny I had an 03 GT and 04 GT both auto and everybody gave me so much crap about it.. And drivetrain loss was terrible compared to a manual. So when I got this car I was like no freakin way I'm getting an auto.. Well had I known that the difference in drivetrain loss between the two was virtually nonexistent compared to the new edge and that these trannys were gonna be so bad with the shifting.. I may have rethought that decision. Oh well still love my car , just needs a new shifter!

Yeah, I was gonna get an manual but I've only driven manuals like 10 times and my only problem was taking off and I didn't wanna be on a hill with someone behind and I roll back and hit them but then I started to read that in the 13 and 14s the auto trannys were built better and stronger and could take more pressure that's what I went with

Awesome! That's a very impressive time for your first time at the track with a basically stock car.

My best time last year was 11.87@119.7 with just bolt-on's and some Race stars. Bama tuned of course, also! I'll be taking the track by storm this year with all of my new mods. Big things to come!

Keep up the great work with your build and remember to always have fun with your car!

Gears will not actually help your overall track time. More than likely will hurt more than help. Now your 60 ft with the right tire can change.
Gears will be more felt on the street light to light. My car came with 3.31's swapped to 4.10's. Will be swapping to 3.08's once she hits the track again.

I just consider it stock because tuner and axle backs aren't really mods

That's my opinion though

A tune on the coyote shaves like .5 a second! U even said it ur self it makes the world of a difference. When talking ETs stock to me is 0 performance mods but that's just my opinion. Not trying to knock u or anything I was just wondering why people say that...

How is having a bama tune, stock bro? Did you really just say stock then write you have a bama tune?

Different views on mods! Lol. Would you care to educate and enlighten me with your views on mods. Being that a bama tune isn't a mod , what would an aftermarket tune be considered in your mind?

Great track time by the way bro!

I mean I'm sorry but that's just how I consider my car, I don't think a Bama tuner is major enough to consider it not stock

Okay then. Clearly you have your own definitions in your world that's separate from the rest of the mustang planet so that's cool bro. Nothing wrong with that. My pony is stock too bro as I'm sure majority on here.

So are headers stock or not? Are gears stock or not? Is a CAI stock or not? I'm confused bro?

A tune makes more of a difference than a CAI or LCAs would alone! Just think of it like this..what's more impressive 13.0 stock run or a 12.4 stock run? There's a huge difference there.

I'm still trying to process how a car running an aftermarket performance tune (bama), Nitto 20 inch tires, and Roush axle backs constitutes stock. How in Zues's butt hole is that possible?

Not one of those aftermarket parts came from the Ford factory on the car when dude bought it. So how can that be stock? Stock is what the car came with from the manufacture! Ford didn't put on Nitro 20 inch tires and a bama tune while being built. Nor did Ford put on a Roush exhaust system. Faceplant!

I didn't have sexual relations with that woman. I just had oral sex!

Stock is EXACTLY how it came from the dealership. Not a damn thing changed except for oil changes.

The only thing that I would reconsider stock is sticker tires

Whats the big deal? He has a tuner, axlebacks and tires. He doesn't have any boltons. No, its not stock but that's no reason to keep raggin on him for saying it. I understand what your point is but why keep on with it? He got the point, no need to act like a kid.
