I just took my car to the track for the first time for the car and first time I ever raced 3-4 races in I finally race mid 12s. My best time was a 12.42 the cars completely stock with roush exhaust, Bama tuner with nitto 255s with 20 in rims. What are y'all's times and mods?
Bone stock 13.05. Best is 12.7s just cuz I couldn't get in it till 3rd(I'm manual). Got some 305 Michelins now so I'm hoping to get in the very low 12s.
Yeah I'm going back next Friday and I'll have my roush CAI by then looking to run very low 12s I just need to get my reaction time down, get a Bama tuner they make a world of difference
I do have. Will be switching to another tuner before too long though. I'm also lowered w lca's steeda cold air and a few other things. I have factory 3.73s so it's just to hard to really get in it on those factory tires. And both times I went my tires were near their expiration lol.
Yeah my stock tires didn't make it 4 months so I went and bought the black amr nitto tire package and they don't even look like they've worn down the slightest bit

And mines an auto so that's prob why my times are as good as they are since autos are better for drag
Yup. It's funny I had an 03 GT and 04 GT both auto and everybody gave me so much crap about it.. And drivetrain loss was terrible compared to a manual. So when I got this car I was like no freakin way I'm getting an auto.. Well had I known that the difference in drivetrain loss between the two was virtually nonexistent compared to the new edge and that these trannys were gonna be so bad with the shifting.. I may have rethought that decision. Oh well still love my car , just needs a new shifter!
Yeah, I was gonna get an manual but I've only driven manuals like 10 times and my only problem was taking off and I didn't wanna be on a hill with someone behind and I roll back and hit them but then I started to read that in the 13 and 14s the auto trannys were built better and stronger and could take more pressure that's what I went with
Awesome! That's a very impressive time for your first time at the track with a basically stock car.
My best time last year was 11.87@119.7 with just bolt-on's and some Race stars. Bama tuned of course, also! I'll be taking the track by storm this year with all of my new mods. Big things to come!
Keep up the great work with your build and remember to always have fun with your car!
Gears will not actually help your overall track time. More than likely will hurt more than help. Now your 60 ft with the right tire can change.
Gears will be more felt on the street light to light. My car came with 3.31's swapped to 4.10's. Will be swapping to 3.08's once she hits the track again.

Oh no I completey understand where your coming from people just have different views on what they consider mods, but if you have a Instagram check out my car 5POINT_OHHH
Different views on mods! Lol. Would you care to educate and enlighten me with your views on mods. Being that a bama tune isn't a mod , what would an aftermarket tune be considered in your mind?
Okay then. Clearly you have your own definitions in your world that's separate from the rest of the mustang planet so that's cool bro. Nothing wrong with that. My pony is stock too bro as I'm sure majority on here.
Whats the big deal? He has a tuner, axlebacks and tires. He doesn't have any boltons. No, its not stock but that's no reason to keep raggin on him for saying it. I understand what your point is but why keep on with it? He got the point, no need to act like a kid.
Stock numbers for a 2012+ 5.0 are 0 -60 4.5 seconds and 1/4 mile 13.2 with an average of many drivers those are the hard numbers sure some drivers might do a little better some a little worse but that is the AVEARAGE.
Anything much below that is NOT STOCK. A Bama tune doesn't count lol...
Watched one go 12.9s stock w not that good of a driver. I might even have the slip cuz he was racing me. 3.31 car 6MT with those terrible 245/45 pirellis
Also average time 0 to 60 is 4.5 for the 5.0 Interestingly the 2011+ Challenger SRT8 (392 Hemi) runs 4.4 AVERAGE 0 to 60 and 12.7 AGAIN AVEARAGE 1/4 mile so it just a pinch faster than the 5.0 . The mighty hemi is a beast even though it's a tank.

And I promise you that your car won't run a 12.7 or do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. I had a supercharged 3v they are nothing impressive, until you crank out a lot off boost and heads/ cams. That's why I sold it.

Nah wrong again. Here is a guy with the EXACT SAME set up as mine.
I have an 05 automatic trans GT, which dynos about five percent lower than a manual, and I dyno'd on a Mustang Dyno which tends to read about TEN PERCENT LOWER than a Dynojet. Also, my engine & exhaust are 100% factory stock. Car makes 364 rwhp at 6,400 rpm's (shiftpoints) and 380 rwhp at 6,800 rpm's (redline). That works out to about 450-475 hp at the flywheel.
Last day at the drag strip I ran back to back 12.34's @ 111+ in the 1/4 mile. 1/8 mile was 7.89 @ 90+ mph. Even though centfugals like to rev, my 0-60 mph times have dropped from 5.1 stock to 3.7 now and 0-100 mph times have dropped from 13.7 stock to 9.9 now. A manual trans car may possibly go quicker than mine as more power gets to the ground.
That Brenspeed V3 kit is a lot of power for the money. ( that's what I bought )
+1, this dude is a total idiot/troll. I'm sure I know WAY more about cars than he does, and I'm only 17, heck, probably all if us know more than him.
