Spring wash, paint quality is concerning!

So I washed and clay bared my car. I have driven it sparingly over the winter (I live in Alaska, 2400 miles on car). Previously I had had the front hood 3m'ed clear protectant coating added to prevent rock chips. When I washed it I noticed a large amount of chipping to the front lower fender area just above the rocker panel behind the front tire. Kind of a weird area for chipping. Nothing was found in the rear. Was wondering if Ford paint was an issue for anyone else.

Thanks for reading and responding!

What's so weird about that? Both you avatar and sig pics show you parked on dirt ....

Every time you turn the wheel, you machine gun dirt and rocks into the fender. I'd say you need a full set of flaps. They are out there. I got just the gt500 rears but, I'm not running logging roads .....
