So if this was his experience and it has the potential to save the OP $1600 or gives him the foresight to request AM to inspect the wheels prior to shipping them due to issues of defects then great. It's not like he's spamming the thread with multiple posts.
Wow, we can learn so much from this! I am sure no one before this posting had ever thought about inspecting car parts or for that matter, anything ordered over the internet!

Striker has been WHINING since the package was shipped to him. It's possible that AM had the rims dropped ship from the manufacturer direct.

Perhaps Striker, you should have waited for the matter to be settled before your postings.

NewMtang,

Give it a rest. I only made my thread to document my experience. AM is taking care of the situation, and I am documenting the experience step by step so that the community can share in the experience I have had. My hope is that it saves other people trouble if they are considering new wheels like I was.

Just so you know, and maybe if you paid more attention instead of making it your life mission to rain on my posts, the wheels were not drop shipped. How could AM drop ship wheels with tires that they installed and balanced with TPMS sensors in their shop?

Either way, just drop it and move on. I simply wanted to let the op know my experience to greater his/her knowledge before making a decision.

I for one very much appreciate you sharing what happened. Because I am in Canada, and will be spending a lot on shipping will PM and ensure they double check the rims before shipping.

I'm confused. If you could care less then:

1.) why would you appreciate his sharing because if you could care less then you wouldn't even be bothered with responding

2.) if you could care less why would you get them to double check the rims before shipping since you wouldn't care if it was defective or not?

Please clarify how your message stands to mean you "could care less?"

MDM1971,

I'm glad to hear you are getting them. Definitely PM Dan or call to have them check the wheels before shipping. I would hate for you to have the same proem in Canada. I hope you like them! I can't wait to get replacements.

Dallas, I've never had someone analyze my posts before. You simply took what I said out of context, but in fairness did stop my thoughts short and not fully explain..

When I mentioned seeing that striker had posted a similar post elsewhere, then said "I could care less", it was me saying I don't care how often he shares the same thoughts, or on as many forums as he wants.
I was not saying "I could care less" with any reference to what he was saying.

Hope that clarifies.

striker79 - I've PM'ed Dan in the past, and was thinking the same thing. Again, much appreciated.

I've been thinking about doing 20 in back af 19 in front. There's gotta be a performance reason for this, or else Ford wouldn't have done it on their premiere car...

You want a fairly overall tall tire in the rear so that you aren't spinning crazy rpms, less rotations the tire makes means less rpms and higher mph. So then in the front you don't want a huge wheel since those are the ones turning, so smaller with a slightly bigger tire sidewall, let's the wheels turning absorb bumps better also. Corvettes do the same thing. Ford GT also, same with the Koenigsegg which is one of the fastest cars in the world.

I decided to go with 20' Charcoal AMRs. I have a black mustang and I'm not sure that charcoal will look good. People say that it looks much better in person rather than in pics. Maybe I should get the silver ones?

AMR's are heavy heavy. I would go with 19's if your set on that wheel.
