2014 5.0

So I'm thinking about purchasing the Roush axleback exhaust and the Pypes Off-Road H-Pipe for my 2014 Mustang GT, can you guys let me know what you think of that?

The roush AB sound good. What sound are you going for? I have the borla s-type and they sound good... Also the flowmaster outlaws sound good but drone a bit.

I'm going for an aggressive loud and deep type of sound!

From what I heard the X pipe makes it a little raspy and the H pipe not so much

Then you should be good, by the way the sound from the roush axlebacks cannot be justified through the computer, you have to hear them in person

A local 5.0 has the outlaws and no resonators and his stang sounds mean!! They are loud and deep sounding. I agree with the others, YouTube vids do not do justice to the sound, better to hear them in person.

Can anyone confirm the raspy noise from the X pipe running with the Roush AB?
I'm more of an X person than an H, but I also want the Roush ab!

Look at some you tube videos. That roush ab is crazy loud with an off road mid pipe and in my opinion is on of the most raspy exhaust.
The flowmaster hushpowers I had were very deep with no rasp or popping. My current gt500 pop more but don't drone like the flows did. If you want a video I'll get you one.

"E" for effort towards me. But every single video of exhausts sounds frikken exactly the same on my computer and/or phone

Guess I'll drive around town hunting stangs and bug them like a little kid who wet his pants

Roush is just fine by itself or even without resonators. I installed an off road pipe recently and that's when the Roush got stupid loud. I'd bet money that you could remove the mufflers and it would be just as loud. The Roush's have a muffler shape to them but they don't muffle anything. Everybody in town will know your car is coming. It was beyond cool, more like embarrassing. I just sold the Roush's last week and plan going to GT500's.

Actually I think the car sounds great now with the stock mufflers on it.

Thanks Compstall... I was reading around some threads after searching "exhaust" and this one was like 7 pages where everybody gave their blessings to the gt500's if the OP had plans of going catless later (which I do)...

Looks like I'll probably take that route too!

So Compstall what you're saying is that it would be a bad idea to order Roush exhaust and an Off-Road H-pipe?

Yea that would crazy loud, just save your money and run no mufflers. GT500 is a good sounding exhaust with no drone.

Outlaws Axle Backs are loud enough for me. A little drone at 2,000rpms but other than that I'm pretty happy.

I had the hushpowers with a off road h pipe. They are quieter than the outlaws I believe. The overall sound of them were not to loud, actually loved the sound but the drone was ungodly loud. Had to change.

A nice quiet smooth sounding exhaust would be perfect for an off road h pipe.

My buddy has an X pipe stock cats with no mufflers and I think my offroad h with gt500 mufflers is louder.

Thanks for answering my question. Hold all my calls and cancel my appointments for tomorrow too. And don't forget the cover sheets on the TPS reports.

This is Roush mufflers and no resonators. Plenty loud when stepped on.

I'll get the video to you, I can't find it on my computer so I'll make a new one. I am in North Florida and it is a bit damp out right now but I'll get it done when I can.
