CAI and Tuner Review

I will just preface this by saying it is my personal experience and others may vary.

Many people ask all the time about CAIs and Tuners so I figured I would post my experience. I just installed the Airaid Race CAI on my 2010 with the BAMA x4 Tuner. The installation of the CAI was a piece of cake and had very detailed instructions. It took less than an hour. A lot of people say they struggle getting the rubber fittings over the throttle body and tubing. At first I said to myself "oh boy here we go", but once I looked at it, I saw that the hose claps changed the shape so I just put the rubber fittings on then attached the hose clamp. That took under 5 minutes. After I got her all buttoned up I put that new tuner to work. The wifi on the new sf4 is kicka$$. I set it up in the car and it took a few minutes to get all the updates down. Once it was done just slapped on a performance tune and let it work its magic.

Now for the part I was really waiting for ever since first reading about the Tune and CAI. Do you get anything out of it? I can honestly say YES. I definitely feel the gains out of it and the car is way more responsive. It just feels a lot more in sync with itself. Now it didn't turn my 4.6 3v into a cobra jet (which is not what I expected at all). However, for the money and time it is a pretty nice gain. I highly recommend this combo from AM as usual the shipping and everything was top notch. I am very happy with my purchase. Next stop....Off road H-pipe. Thanks for reading!

Awesome write up! This is really cool. I'm glad to hear you're really enjoying your Bama tune and Airaid CAI. Keep up the great work with your build and let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future!

What's up next on your build list?

Thank ya, yeah I was bummed that right after I ordered it, I got a coupon for a garage banner haha. I do need to figure out how to get a 93 race tune (running 87 performance right now). As far as what's next....probably an off road h pipe. I think it will take me to the level of exhaust note I want. Not to mention the flow. I have also been looking at the new mmd wheels, but want to see them black on black first.

Aww crap! That stinks. I won't let you miss out on the Garage Banner sale though. Shoot me a PM and I'll make sure a banner is hanging in your garage in no time!

Just give the Bama team a call and they can hook you up with some more tune options! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Let me see if I can track down some good MMD Wheels pictures for you. They really do look great! We're doing some reviews on them as we speak so some more on car shots will be popping up soon.

It looks like the same thing just happened to me with the banner! I bought a CAI/tuner combo and after I received an email that it shipped I also received a coupon to spend $100 and receive a Bama Performance banner! Really? I would love that to be in my garage. Especially after spending $700 with AM
